People say everything happens for a reason and God has a Plan for it all. I believe things do happen for a reason. And God does have a Plan. But if we don't learn the lesson from the circumstance and let ourselves completely heal from it --whether it is the past or today -- the things that happen for a reason will just keep happening over and over again. And we'll end up on a talk show talking about what keeps happening to us and wondering why. Time is of the essence. Everything's being magnified. Events can easily feel bigger than life. This is so we'll look at things, see things, feel things, correct our path, do what we need to do because everything we do helps shape the universe and affects everyone around us.
Melody Beattie

"We have great power to affect the attitudes and behavior of the people around us, at work and at home. We have the power to set a tone of honor, to create an energy around ourselves that says, 'I respect myself! respect you. Let's respect each other.' "
Marianne Williamson

AA Thought for the Day / We have to find a life in the world of grace and spirit, and this is certainly a new dimension for most of us. Surprisingly, our quest for this realm of being is not too difficult. Our conscious entry into it usually begins as soon as we have deeply confessed our personal powerlessness to go on alone, and have made our appeal to whatever God we think there is -- or may be. /

Give it all up and you get it all back. I believe that this is an immensely potent formula for finding freedom and joy in living. Every time I have put this principle in action, it has worked. Whenever I have let go of something, God has either given it back to me, or given me something better, or shown me that I'm better off without it. More and more, I have come to see that God is always giving us exactly what we need for our highest good, and at no cost to anyone.
Alan Cohen

The key is to understand that there is nothing we can see or perceive that we are not. If we did not possess a certain quality we could not recognize it in another. If you are inspired by someone’s courage, it is a reflection of the courage within you. If you think someone’s selfish, you can be sure that you’re capable of demonstrating the same amount of selfishness. Although these qualities will not be expressed all the time, we each have the ability to act out any quality we see.
Debbie Ford

"I have come to understand the extraordinary importance of leading an integral life. that is, of allowing myself to first notice, then to blend, all the aspects of who I am—those that I and others called 'positive' and those that I and others have called 'negative'—into a grander Whole. through this process I have made friends with myself at last. but, oh, how long it took to get there!"

Each of you must understand that you are a spiritual entity who lives in relationship with the universe, and that you can obtain everything you needfrom the inexhaustible worlds of the soul and spirit. This will give your life meaning, and you will no longer feel the need to run after ephemeral gains.
Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

"The path to enlightenment includes not only the search for the divine but also the total acceptance of the shadow self."
