Snips

When we are soul-searching, be it for the smaller or larger decisions we face during the day, we can learn to ask, is this good for me?.... Is this what I really want?.... Is this what I need?... Does this direction feel right for me?.... Or am I succumbing to the control and influence that I sometimes allow others to have over me?It is not unhealthy selfishness to question if something is good for us. That is an old way of thinking. We shall not stray from God's intended plan, God's highest good, by asking if a thing is good for us. By asking ourselves this simple question, we participate in directing our life toward the highest good and purpose; we own our power to hold ourselves in self-esteem.Today, I will begin acting in my best interests. I will do this with the understanding that, on occasion, my choice will not please everyone around me. I will do this with the understanding that asking if a thing is good for me will ultimately help me take true responsibility for my life and my choices.~

EVERY moment is an opportunity for Love. Where there is hatred, may we bring Love. Where there is prejudice and injustice, may we bring Love. Where there is insecurity and small-mindedness, may we bring Love. Where there is fear in any form, may we bring the illuminating Light of Love. We do not open our hearts 'when'; we open them 'in spite of.' God grants us the opportunity and power to transform every negativity into everlasting love.

AA Thought of the Day / The deception of others is nearly always rooted in the deception of ourselves... When we are honest with another person, it confirms that we have been honest with ourselves and with God. /
As Bill Sees It, p. 17

As the need for more diminishes, appreciation for what we have increases. Our life bursts with abundance but not in the usual sense. We have more time. Rather than spend life's energy shopping for things we don't need, we can take long walks, read, or build a tree fort with the kids. With less to clean and mend, we can focus on pursuits that add dimension to our purpose in life and enrich our spiritual, social, physical, and mental experiences.
Katherine Gibson

At this very moment the universe is trying to manifest miracles through your visions, intuitions, and longings. Imagine that your inklings are God's whispers to your heart. The same God that gave you the idea, will give you the means and support to see it through. The world is being transformed through people like you, who love themselves enough to trust their inner guidance, and relax enough to let the universe take care of the means.
Alan Cohen

It is not how much you do, but how much love you put into the doing and sharing with others that is important. Try not to judge people. If you judge others then you are not giving love.
Mother Teresa

"You need not look for God either here or there. He is no farther away than the door of your heart: there He stands waiting till He finds you ready to open the door and let Him enter."
Meister Eckhart

"The spirit down here in man and the spirit up there in the sun, in reality are only one spirit, and there is no other one." The Upanishads
A person is not hurt so much by what happens, as by his opinion of what happens.
Michel de Montaigne
