Hold that Thought!

The law of attraction demonstrates that we attract to ourselves the experiences that directly correlate with our thoughts. When we focus on what we fear we attract the very things we fear. When we think about what we don't want we attract into our lives the things or experiences we don't want. When we are living in a lack and limitation consciousness we tend to dwell on what isn't rather than know the truth about what is.

In How to use the Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes talks about how thought is creative and is always tending to build up situations and conditions in our bodies and environments that correspond to the unconscious patterns of our thinking. When we are unaware that our attention is focused in a negative direction we are surprised that our lives seem to be different than we would like them to be.

When we notice that our thoughts are drifting into the domains of fear, lack and limitation we have a choice to practice mental discipline and bring them back to healthy positive thoughts. The challenge is to be able to hold our thoughts clearly and consistently on what we really want. Affirm: I consciously choose to hold my thoughts on knowing that I am wholeness, abundance, peace, and love. From the Science of Mind
