Seeds for the Garden of my Mind

May 10

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“This world is a product of our minds.”

“We have often heard, “You get what you expect,” “As you think, so you are,” “Attitude is everything.” Hearing this message one more time is reassuring.

But what if the world we see is scary and threatening harm? It’s not easy taking responsibility for these results. There is a way to change what we see, however, regardless of the dreadful details. We can seek the help of our minds. We know that the mind is both ego and Holy Spirit, not necessarily in equal portions. If our outlook is brooding and bleak, the ego is inflated. If our outlook is hopeful and loving, we sense the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives. We also need to remember if we feel physically threatened the most loving thing we can do for ourselves is to protect ourselves by moving away from a dangerous situation.

We can move from one side of the mind to the other at will. This makes our world our choice.”

“I will do my part to heal the world today.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “If we think of ourselves as beings of this world, then the laws of scarcity and death, which rule this world, will rule us. If we think of ourselves as children of God, whose real home lies in a realm of awareness beyond this world, then we will find we are “under no laws but God’s.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “I already know enough. Everyone knows enough to be a good friend, a tolerant and helpful partner, a loving mother or father, a considerate customer, a fair and honorable boss. It really doesn’t matter what I don’t know if I will apply all that I do know this instant. Just one spiritual concept, practiced consistently, is enough. The golden rule is an example of a safe substitute for any moral philosophy, religion, or metaphysical system on earth. But will I practice it today?”

Wayne Dyer: “When your mind and body are in a constant state of worry and anxiety, analyzing and figuring, always on the go, meeting deadlines and scurrying to keep the next appointment, remember, that in the world of physical form the actual energy waves of light and spirit that the vibrations are faster.”

Paul Ferrini: “To make wrong is to teach guilt and perpetuate the belief that punishment is necessary. To make right is to teach love and demonstrate forgiveness. To put it simple, you are never right to make wrong, or wrong to make right. To be right, make right.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“God is my comfort at all times
and in all ways.”

“In the book of Job, we read the story of a man who suffered much yet refused to let his faith in God’s presence weaken. The story of Job has inspired generations to hold to their faith and to know that God is present regardless of any outer circumstance.”

“My faith in God is strong, too, and I hold to my faith in the presence of God. Whatever I or my loved ones may be going through, I experience God as a comforting presence in quiet moments of prayer and meditation.”

“With faith in God, I reach out to those who need comfort, and I pray for them as well. The strength of my faith will not waver, because I know that God’s loving presence is within me and everyone I am praying with and for. God is our comfort at all times and in all ways.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 130

“It is impossible to see two worlds.”

Namaste – Ron

Lesson 130

“It is impossible to see two worlds.”

I cannot see two worlds, and I cannot be in two worlds. I AM in the Oneness of God and never shall I leave that Oneness. This world, or any world I imagine to see is all illusions from my thoughts of fear. I have only to change my thoughts to love, to envision that which I AM.
