Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

May 1

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Miracles are shifts in the mind’s perception.”

“We have all heard a story of someone who was cured of cancer. Wouldn’t that be a miracle in the body? Some might argue yes; however, many would say a change in the body has to be precipitated by a change in the mind. If illness is all one thinks is possible, illness is what one gets. Thinking health and well-being might not make a disease disappear, but the person’s healed mind and attitude will guarantee a peaceful response to life.

Learning that miracles happen in our minds should bring comfort to all students of the Course. It means we are all privy to them, whenever we want, regardless of the circumstances hindering us.”

“I’ll monitor my mind’s work today.
What I think is all-powerful.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “There is nothing in this world that truly gives us peace, for peace lies in our transcendence of this world. Our most fervent wish is for the peace of God.”

Wayne Dyer: “When you become a fighter against anything you join forces with that which created the problem in the first place in the form of counterforce.”

Paul Ferrini: “Until you look in the mirror and see your own beliefs reflected there, you will be using every brother or sister in your experience as a mirror to show you what you believe about yourself.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “My mind, which is a gift from God, will never die. It is my responsibility and in my care forever. Ego desires often come with a sense of urgency, as if the present moment will soon end: ‘Do it now’ (before you come to your senses). ‘Just do it’ (before your conscience kicks in). I am free to misuse my mind, but the lessons will be repeated until it is learned. Willfulness is not a happy approach to life. Yet if I pause long enough to experience sanity, not only do I rest from misery but I also give a measure of rest to an unquiet world, which has waited far too long for its human family to notice it.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“I unite heart and soul with others
to create a strong and vital whole.”

“Diversity is a part of God’s grand and glorious plan for humanity. We only have to look around us to see the creativity of God at work in humankind. We see life in expression in wonderful and diverse ways.”

“As individuals, we are like unfolding flowers. We reveal more about who we are and who we are becoming each day. This ongoing revelation is all according to a divine plan. We impact the world in positive ways by doing our part to fulfill God’s grand and glorious plan.”

“Yet as diverse as we are, we are also the same. Because we have been created in the image of God, we share a oneness of spirit with God and with one another.”

“As creations of God, we unite heart and soul, merging our unique qualities to create a strong and vital whole.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 121

“Forgiveness is the key to happiness.”
Namaste Ron

Lesson 121

“Forgiveness is the key to happiness.”
Without forgiveness I cannot pass through the door in front of me. With forgiveness the door is open and I am able to pass through. Where does the forgiveness come from? How can I obtain it? Forgiveness is forever a part of my choosing – a part of my free will. It is but another thought to replace a thought I hold that is not a thought of love. Forgiveness is for me so that I may extend love to another. Forgiveness is not about forgiving another for something I think they have done – it is always and only about me and my thoughts.
