Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“All but Heaven will fall away.”
“Our destination is Heaven. We may not acknowledge this. We may not realize it, in fact, because most of us are stumbling through our experiences just trying to hang on. Understanding that we are all journeying to One Home eases the fear and subsequent pain we feel on occasion. We are learning that our lives make sense, and that we are sharing this trip with our Teachers. We are not traveling alone.
Real solace comes in discovering our connectedness to others. Unfortunately, it may take a long time to appreciate this. The isolation we cultivate, often out of fear, obstructs our vision of the Real World. We are learning that the experiences we walk through serve only as steps to Heaven, and the steps yet to be climbed are as few or as many as our resistance to them demands.
Every day brings us closer to the peace of Heaven. Let’s be grateful for that push to reach for each other or for the hand of God. It’s always extended.”
“What does Heaven look like?
I’ll get a glimpse today if I seek the comfort of God’s extended hand.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: Internal power has less to do with money and worldly position and more to do with emotional expansiveness, spirituality, and conscious living.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Spiritual growth is merely learning what makes us happy. There is no greater deterrence to our progress than the suspicion that we are being asked to do more than we can and to give up things that we want. The path to God is not a burden, and the kingdom of heaven, which is all things limitless and good, is not reached through sacrifice. We are simply asked to trust, to love, and to be happy.”
Wayne Dyer: “To fight your demons or to be angry with yourself for the errors of your ways is to give more energy to that second non-existent power of evil. Always remind yourself there is but one power, the power of good, and choose to bring this power to bear on any and all your own dark behaviors.”
Paul Ferrini: “You cannot get to heaven by holding your brother down, nor will you get there if you try to carry him. Acknowledge your brother and bless him on his journey. If he asks for your help, give it gladly. But do not try to do for your brother what he must do for himself.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I am ready to begin my next adventure in life.”
“Before Jesus began His ministry, He had two significant experiences: the spiritual ritual of baptism and the very human experience of needing to choose wisely when tempted by an easier way. Both experiences prepared Jesus to do His spiritual work among the people of His time.”
“I, too, have experiences that are both human and spiritual in nature. I turn within to connect with my spiritual nature, immersing myself in the awareness of Spirit. Then, as I contemplate choices, I choose the ones that rise from a realization of my spiritual connection to God.”
“Every choice I have made, even the ones I might think I would change, have provided me with greater understanding. Every prayer connects me with my spiritual nature so that I am ready to begin my next adventure in life.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 123
“I thank my Father for His gifts to me.”
Namaste – Ron
Lesson 123
“I thank my Father for His gifts to me.”
I am grateful to recognize the truth in me – to recognize that I am as God created me – that I am One with God. I may not understand it all, but then I do not have to. I accept my truth and in so doing, know deep within that is so. All that God is, I AM. This is far beyond my comprehension but not too far to realize that God has given me all that is. And I show my gratitude by extending God to all I look upon.
