Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“Be still and know.”
“What does it mean to be still? What are we trying to know? These are serious questions. Having minds that run nonstop seems the norm. It’s who we are, after all. Experiencing the quiet within feels like doing nothing. And we’ve been programmed to think we need to be doing something all the time. To stand still is to get left behind, we think.”
“Let’s pretend for a spell that it’s okay to be idle. Let’s take this as an opportunity for a new way of living. With every thought that comes, let it float away. With every desire to speak, let the moment pass. Every moment can be forfeited. Feel the freedom of doing nothing, saying nothing, thinking nothing, for even a few moments. Peace does come. Peace at last.”
“We can’t be sure we’ll know anything specific in this quiet, but we will know what we need to. Within the quiet lie all answers.”
“I will give up my mad thinking for a few moments today.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Growth is never about focusing on someone else’s lessons, but only on our own. We aren’t victims of the world outside us. As hard as it is to believe sometimes, we’re always responsible for how we see things.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Simply being happy includes within it all spiritual effort and all divine potential. Be happy, and gently release your mind from what makes you unhappy. That is the ancient secret; the inner teaching; the lost knowledge; the message of the still, quiet voice; the only wisdom ever to be attained.”
Wayne Dyer: “A spiritual solution when you enter a problem-plagued judgmental mode might be to “Stop judging by mere appearances”.
Paul Ferrini: “Not one of God’s children can be evil. At worst he is hurt. At worst he attacks others and blames them for his pain. But he is not evil. Yes, your compassion must go this deep. There is no human being who does not deserve your forgiveness. There is no human being who does not deserve your love.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“With joy and thanksgiving,
I celebrate life.”
“I need only observe my surroundings to see the celebration of new life that is going on: trees are shaking off the last vestiges of winter as leaves fill their branches; flowers are blooming in a God-created canvas of color and beauty; and animals everywhere are awakening fully from their winter rest.”
“I, too, celebrate life as I release past worry or doubt and welcome new opportunities. If there is something I have been doing that is not working for me, I release it. With a fresh outlook, I choose a new approach that opens up a world of possibilities for greater success.”
“God has blessed me with a life of beauty and abundance, a life of wonder and blessings. With joy and thanksgiving, I celebrate life.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 125
“In quiet I receive God’s Word today.”
Namaste – Ron
Lesson 125
“In quiet I receive God’s Word today.”
Once again the message is about the quiet – the silence of the soul – the sanctuary of the Self. In this quiet – this silence – this now – is the Voice for God and nothing else. In the quiet I remember my truth and joy and happiness are mine.
