Seeds for The Garden of your Mind

May 17

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Our minds create the visible world.”

“Whatever we see, we cause. If we aren’t happy with our experiences, we need to put our minds to work again and re-create a would that gives us more pleasure.

What we have to guard against when we change our lives is not letting the ego have center stage in our minds. The ego will never foster harmonious circumstances unless it can selfishly benefit from them. Our minds respond to two voices. The conflicts and troubling situations have their roots in the ego. The peaceful periods come when we willingly, or perhaps unwittingly, pay homage to the Holy Spirit.

Even the least reflective of us can see the payoff offered by each voice. It may be that we want turmoil occasionally; that’s always our option. The more time we take to reach the peace we deserve, however, the slower the process for everyone else too. Let’s not forget: No one goes home until we all go home.”

“I am in charge of my life today.
How I choose to live will affect everyone else I meet.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Personal transformation can and does have global effects. As we go, so goes the world, for the world is us. The revolution that will save the world is ultimately a personal one.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Any attitude, technique, or philosophy helpful to another person deserves my support. The question isn’t whether I believe in another individual’s approach or would choose it for myself. The question is whether the approach affirms life. I should be encouraging and supportive of any idea, therapy, or procedure that allows someone to let go of misery. Today I will challenge the unloving thoughts that cross my mind about other people’s approaches to healing, worshipping, or just living everyday life.”

Wayne Dyer: “In bringing about a spiritual solution to any and all problems, first and foremost, become “an instrument of they peace.” It is this peace that you will deliver to the presence of problems and see them dissolve in the power of peace.

Paul Ferrini: “Your enemy reflects back to you everything you do not like about yourself. He shows you exactly where your fears and insecurities lie. If you listen to what your enemy is saying to you, you will know exactly where you are in need of healing. Only one who opposes you thus can be such an effective teacher.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“I am strengthened, prospered, and made whole.”

“I may have a very specific, focused outcome in mind as I pray for a healing. In actuality, my healing may take place in a different or broader form than I had anticipated. God’s healings come in many forms, arrangements, and timings.”

“As I pray for healing, I make and allow room for God’s perfect work in my life. I trust God’s power to heal whatever needs to be healed. Even if this healing is something other than what I had had in mind, I know it is for my best. I am prepared to receive a healing in whatever form it comes to me.”

“I thank God for healing and renewing me. With faith in God, I am strengthened, prospered, and made whole.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 137

“When I am healed I am not healed alone.”

Namaste – Ron

Lesson 137

“When I am healed I am not healed alone.”

Once I see myself as being sick, I know that I holding thoughts of fear – many varieties available for my choosing – guilt, shame, blame, anger, hatred. I know also that I can change those to thoughts to love, and my mind shall be healed. In the healing of my mind, I can then extend to others that which I hold within – love. When I heal my mind – and only my mind can be healed – I experience the Oneness that we are and extend and receive from all I see.
