Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

June 8

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Jesus is our equal.”

“This may sound like heresy, but Jesus tell us in the Course that he was no different than we are now. He merely learned to transcend the ego more quickly than us. The primary lesson for us every day is to call on the Holy Spirit for understanding, a new vision, or merely comfort and guidance. Even when we think we know the best thing to do, we should consult with the Holy Spirit. The ego has something in mind for us. When we rely on it, trouble is only an act away.

We are not alone, ever. That we often feel alone and scared is evidence that the ego has made us its hostage. However, only the mind has been imprisoned and just for the moment. We can break free by merely thinking of Jesus or God or the Holy Spirit. It’s really quite simple, but be aware, the ego will assert itself again. The tug-of-war hasn’t ended, but the victor is up to us.”

“Jesus and I are one.
Remembering this will help me handle whatever occurs today.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom:     “Our barriers to love are rarely consciously chosen. They are our efforts to protect the places where the heart is bruised.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes:          “Take others into your heart, not into your self-esteem. The part of me that is connected to others and to the divine speaks directly to my mind. It informs me of who I am, where I am, and Who is with me. The ego tries to find some way to turn all situations into praise for itself, including problems and failures. But true self-esteem is built and sustained through connection with our Source. Thus low self-esteem is not a problem of insufficient inner cheerleading.”

Wayne Dyer:          “All that love looks upon is transformed to joy and beauty. Or in other words, love and hate cannot live together.”

Paul Ferrini:          “The root of error is fear, and love is the only response that undoes fear. This is true, not so much because love is an antidote to fear, but because fear is ‘the absence of love.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“The pure essence of my being is God’s ever-renewing life.
I radiate health.”

“I am a creation of ever-renewing life. There is an intelligence in the life within each cell of my body that responds to my affirmations of well-being. I express life as energy, strength, and ongoing renewal.”

“The pure essence of my being is God’s ever-renewing life. Every breath I take is confirmation that I am divine life in expression as me. I breathe in, filling my lungs with nourishing oxygen that then courses its way throughout my body. Any impurities are carried away. Invigorated, I vibrate with life.”

“I radiate health as my cells and organs, bones and joints, muscles and digestive system work in perfect harmony. I hear and see my environment with clarity, and I respond to it in a timely and wise manner. The ever-renewing life of God is my source of health.”

A Course in Miracles:           Lesson 159

“I give the miracles I have received.”

Namaste – Ron

     Lesson 159

“I give the miracles I have received.”

What miracles could I give that I received? Just the miracle of Love. Just the miracle of seeing light instead of darkness. Just the miracle of seeing the Christ in you looking back at me. Just the thought of love instead of a thought of fear. Just the knowing within me that we are One with God.
