Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

June 13

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“When others upset us, we need to look in the mirror.”

“Every time we resent, or worse, hate, what another person is doing or saying, we need to acknowledge that we are the same. That’s not easy. We don’t want to own all that we are. In fact, that’s the reason we see certain traits in others. We’ve denied they are our own by pushing them onto someone else and then judging that person. But our denial has now run its course. Adjusting to all that we are and forgiving our imperfections makes it impossible for us to honor others with forgiveness too. That’s why we are here.

“When we willingly see that we are here to understand and cherish forgiveness, we will feel neither fear nor anger when others upset us. We’ll simply know that an opportunity to connect with another soul and celebrate our Oneness has presented itself.

School is always in session. At times, this may distress us, but we can be relieved instead. It means we have as many chances and as much time as it takes to grasp all that we are here to learn. What we miss today will come again tomorrow.”

“Keeping my mirror close by will teach me many things today.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom:     “A long-term romance is like a rose bush. In any given season, a blossom might fall off. But if the plant is well nourished, then the season will come around again, and new blossoms appear.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes:          “Anxiety signals how I am using my mind. It’s not our lack of faith, not what we don’t believe, but what we do believe, that causes anxiety. The only possible outcome of thinking there is nothing in the universe that has unshakable confidence in me, and whose presence I am always welcomed, is fear.”

Wayne Dyer:          “Be the person who promotes the idea that people can change.”

Paul Ferrini:          “If you were honoring yourself, there would be energy and commitment to a vision in your life. You would not be bored. You would not be lonely. You would not be anxious to trade your dream for someone else’s.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“Giving expression to the healing love of God within me,
I forgive.”

“How can I forgive when someone has said or done something hurtful toward me or someone I love? I follow in the footsteps of Jesus.”

“Jesus understood how difficult forgiveness could be, but He also knew how important giving expression to God’s love is to the healing of the mind and heart. When Peter asked how many times he should forgive another, Jesus told him: “I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.”

“There is no greater love than the love of God, for God is love. And it is my privilege to share this sacred love with others. Giving expression to the healing love of God within me, I forgive.”

A Course in Miracles:          Lesson  164

“Now we are one with Him Who is our Source.”

Lesson 164

“Now we are one with Him Who is our Source.”

Now we are One with God. Now, in this moment, we feel the Oneness of who and what we are. Now, in this moment, we feel the wholeness and completeness of our truth. We are forever One with God, but we forget very often within this illusion we “believe” in. This is but a gently reminder for us.
