Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

June 15

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“We need not die to be in the Real World.”

“Sorting out the differences between this world we see and the Real World is necessary to understanding the Course principles. The notion that the Real World knows no strife, expresses only love, and is the home of God makes it sound like the “Heaven” of our dreams. When we learn that we can be in the Real World in an instant, we’re skeptical. How can we be both here and there?

It’s good that we have all the time we need to understand the elusive points of the Course. As Jesus told Helen, the Course’s scribe, it’s a process. For many it will be a long process. And yet, any one of us can get glimpses of how it works every time we willingly change our minds regarding what we think we see.

To experience the Real World, we only need to change our minds, nothing more. The Real World is the home of peace and love, and we can live there at will.”

“Today is mine to live however I want.
If I want to feel only love, I know what I need to do.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom:     “The key to a successful career is realizing that it’s not separate from the rest of your life, but rather an extension of your most basic self. And your most basic self is love.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes:          “Fear of stillness is the desire to remain confused. The belief that I am alone is at the core of my feelings of being put upon, overwhelmed, depressed, or confused. God’s commitment to me doesn’t need arguing or defending. But my belief that I am alone does need close examination and questioning. “Why do I continue to believe that I alone when just a few moments of stillness shows me that I am not?” This question should not be a self-accusation, but a genuine inquiry.”

Wayne Dyer:          “Deciding to pray for a person who is filled with hatred makes just as much sense as praying for someone who is ill, or impoverished, or injured in some way.”

Paul Ferrini:          “You are the one, my brother or sister, who opts for the detour. Don’t blame the companion who accompanies you. It is not her fault. It is not his fault.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“Recognizing the divinity of all creation,
I honor the sacred within each person.”

“There is much in life that is hallowed and treasured. A family custom, a community tradition, or a cultural rite of passage may take on such importance as to be thought of and anticipated in with reverence.”

“Even as I take part in the practice of a sacred rite, I remember what is truly sacred: the presence of God, my inner divine nature, and the divine nature of others. The people who share my beliefs and traditions are expressions of God’s presence – as are the people who have other practices too.”

“Recognizing the divinity of all creation, I honor the sacred nature of the cultural practices that help people bond in Spirit. I participate in my own traditions and honor all that is sacred within me and those around me.”

A Course in Miracles:           Lesson 166

“I am entrusted with the gifts of God.”

Namaste – Ron

Lesson 166

“I am entrusted with the gifts of God.”

What does being “entrusted” mean to you? To me, God has given me gifts to share with others. God does expect me to hang onto these gifts, but to extend them to all I look upon. Within me are all the gifts of God. Within me is the Love I am. Within me is God. I extend to all others that which is within me.
