Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“Our interpretation is everything.”
“The idea that interpretation is everything may seem radical to some. Isn’t the automobile crash, the tornado’s destruction, the severely handicapped child visible to us all? The answer, of course, is yes. But how we interpret what we observe is the key to what we really see. The material world doesn’t tell the whole story.”
“The real blessing of this new way of thinking is that we can see and respond to whatever picture we choose. The child in the wheelchair smiles because she has just won a race. We can select her happiness as our perspective. The downed trees and devastated mobile park didn’t take the lives of ten children who were present when the twister cam through. That miracle can claim our attention.”
“We can respond to every personal encounter as an expression of love or a request for healing and help. How we feel about the moment, the day, each person, our lives will mirror our response to every aspect. The empowerment that flows to us as a result is the real miracle.”
“I am able to see whatever I really want to see today.
Amid pain and destruction is joy;
It’s my assignment to look for it.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Forgiveness is the choice to see people as they are now. “By bringing the past into the present, we create a future just like the past.” By letting the past go, we make room for miracles.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Forgiveness is the willingness to be happy. I won’t ask God to help me forgive because forgiveness occurs when I want it to. It is my desire to release another person from my decisions about them. I forgive the instant I want to, the instant I grow weary of a miserable state of mind. It’s my responsibility to change my mind, not God’s. Asking God to help me with this is just the decision to procrastinate a while longer and remain a victim of what I alone am doing to myself. God won’t force me to desire what I don’t wholly desire.”
Wayne Dyer: “You do not have to perform to anyone else’s standard to be loved; you are loved unconditionally. You do not have to be mistake free; you are always loved. You do not have to win; you are loved regardless of the outcome or the score.”
Paul Ferrini: “All masks must be peeled away if you are to stand face-to-face. Until then, this is just a carnival, the sad ending of which has been temporarily forgotten.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“Through the transforming power of grace,
I am guided, inspired, and healed.”
“I am thankful for the blessings of this day. Through the transforming power of grace, God provides for me in every needed way, guides me through the day, inspires me to greater understanding, and heals my body.”
“I am always in the presence of God no matter where I am, so I can and do open my heart and mind to the Holy Presence. As I seek to experience more of the Divine, I know that the spirit of God within is awaiting my recognition and attention.”
“Any food that sustains me physically, any medical treatment that supports healing, or any structure that protects me from the elements is a reflection of God acting in and through my life. I am guided, inspired, and healed.”

Lesson 174
Review Lessons 157 & 158
“Into His Presence would I enter now.”
“Today I learn to give as I receive.”
There are a few ways of seeing this – into the Presence of God I will enter now, or perhaps into the presence of my brother, I will enter now. Either way, it is saying the same thing. The Presence of God is within my brother and by my seeing my brother as One, I enter into the Presence of One. In my seeing my brother as One, I also receive that gift from him – as being seen as One with him. In my Oneness is the Presence of God also. God – Love – simply flows unending among us, uniting us in an eternal Oneness.
