Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“Let’s pray to get out of the Holy Spirit’s way.”
“Most of us would admit to praying for a better job or more money or secure relationships. It’s not wrong to pray for any of these things. However, it keeps us thinking we can control situations if only God answers our prayers. The more we pray, the more willing God becomes, we hope.
Alas, we generally stay stuck because the ego’s prayers are so limiting. We only discover this, however, when we let the Holy Spirit take charge of where we go, what we do, what we think, whom we befriend, and thus who we become. We have so much more potential than the ego would ever credit us with.
It’s really much easier to pray only to stay out of the Holy Spirit’s way. It saves us from needing to figure out what we should do or think in particular situations. It frees us from trying to figure out a friend’s life too. There’s one thing to do, and only one thing, in every circumstance. Move aside for the Holy Spirit.”
“I’m tense because I’m trying to control the uncontrollable.
I’ll let the Holy Spirit work in my life today.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “The ultimate truth is always light, because all things end up in God. As soon as you start trying to hide your darkness, you are bound to hide your light.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Acknowledging inner conflict is the first step to making better decisions. In thinking of things I am worried about or of things I want changed, if I ask myself, “What would I like to happen?” the first few outcomes that come to mind are often superficial. But if I keep asking, “What else would I like to happen?” my desires often deepen. Yet as they do, they also start to conflict with the earlier desires. Recognizing the contrasting outcomes that I think I want, gives me the option of choosing what part of me I wish to be more of. In this way, conflict can be well used.”
Wayne Dyer: “As a spiritual being, you do not have to perform, compare, win, or anything else. Your worthiness is a given. You are a piece of God. Always connected.”
Paul Ferrini: “There is only one way that you will find genuine fulfillment in your life and that is to learn to love and accept yourself.”
Unity’s Daily Word
“I love God, I love myself, and I love others.”
“As a member of the human family, I have a responsibility to cocreate harmony in all my relationships, In my workplace and at home, in all activities and places, I am called to express love in whatever I say and do.”
“Jesus stated that loving God is the primary mission of all who are called to a spiritual life, and I love God. Jesus expanded on love to say, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Through insight from meditation and prayer, I grow to love myself and to love others regardless of circumstances.”
“In harmony with God, with myself, and with others, I speak and act in harmonious ways. My capacity to express love grows through each experience, and I am serene.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 177
Review Lessons 163 – 164
“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
“There is no death. The Son of God is free.”
“Now are we one with Him Who is our Source.”
Namaste – Ron
Lesson 177
Review Lessons 163 & 164
“There is no death. The Son of God is free.”
“Now we are one with Him Who is our Source.”
We learn as very young children that “death” exists and everyone will die. But we have unlearned that now that we are on this journey. Death is but an experience within this illusion we have made. It is neither an ending nor a beginning – death is nothing. We are as free as God created us, and will forever be. We waken slowly now knowing that we have never left our Source; knowing that we can never leave our Source; knowing that we are forever One with our Source.
