Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

July 7

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Let’s teach acceptance.”

“Nothing has the absolute power to control us or destroy us. We may fold under the hostile criticisms of strangers or be damned by the outrageous actions of friends, but we always have another available response. It’s this: We can see every person, no matter who they are, as the Teachers we’re ready for. This doesn’t mean we won’t feel their insults. Nor does it mean we won’t resist their lessons. It simply means we can learn to be detached from the particulars of the situation, focusing instead on the opportunity to accept and love even that which injures the ego.”

“Acceptance isn’t as difficult as we may think. Actually, it’s a simple decision that bears repeating, as often as necessary. When we choose to accept an experience as a learning opportunity, regardless of its nature, it profoundly changes the tenor of our journey. We’re often reminded that the sticky details of our experiences don’t matter. Why don’t we relinquish our resistance to this idea?”

“I will accept today’s journey as the one I’m ready for.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom:     “With every prayer and every thought of love, we release the light that will cast out darkness. One light alone seems small and weak, but no one’s light is ever alone, for all our lights are part of God.”

Hugh Prater, Morning Notes:          “Wholeness is first seen in others before it is felt within. Our vision has been shattered, but not the spiritual truth of our wholeness. Each individual we encounter appears to hold a lost piece of us. It joins with us the instant it is recognized. But only a calm and innocent vision can see it.”

Wayne Dyer:     “Healing is a rejoining of the self to the whole.”

Paul Ferrini:          “Imagine not having to put pressure on others to meet your needs or expectations and knowing that others will not put pressure on you.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“I give thanks and praise to God for all blessings.”

“We are taught from an early age to say ‘thank you’ for the gifts we receive and to express our appreciation for help. Yet we may  forget to give thanks and praise to God for the blessings we receive every day – blessings that we are so accustomed to having that we may take them for granted.”

“Through major crises and small movement of wonder, God is with us, blessing us with inspiration and abundance that are part of our daily lives. Thanking God is a way to remind ourselves of how truly blessed we are.”

“Through regular praise and thanksgiving, we make a conscious connection with God that nourishes us in mind and spirit and opens the way for more and more blessings in our lives. “Thank You, thank You, God, for all blessings!”

A Course in Miracles:          Lesson   188

“The peace of God is shining in me now.”

Namaste – Ron
