Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

July 12

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Forgiveness heals.”

“We can contemplate forgiveness on many levels. We suffer from guilt, thinking that if others knew who we really were, they would abandon us. We also feel guilty about our judgments of others. According to the Course, we carry an additional, internal guilt because we separated from God, thus leaving the Real World. And worse yet, we created this nightmare we’re living.

When we factor into this formula that we are all One, the question of who needs forgiveness becomes even more complicated. Our Teachers suggest it’s we ourselves, primarily, who need to be forgiven. The other people in our lives are merely filling the roles we’ve devised for them.

This may seem confusing, but remember, there are only two expressions anyone can make: the offer of love or the cry for healing and help. If we aren’t doing the former, we’re doing the latter and forgiveness is called for. To heal is our lesson, to teach it and to learn it.”

“I may need to forgive someone today.
My offer of love will do it.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom:     “The key to empowerment is any area is understanding its purpose, and the purpose of intimacy is healing. Honoring our connection to another person is a way of honoring God.”

Hugh Prater, Morning Notes:          “So I may remain open, I will practice divine doubt. It’s natural and healthy to doubt ourselves. Those who do not doubt, easily mislead themselves. It’s also quite difficult to feel connection with individuals who are rigid in their beliefs. My most sensitive mistakes have come when I was certain I was right. Doubt, when properly used, keeps me humble, balanced, and eager for God’s continuing guidance.

Wayne Dyer:     “Because the reality at the spiritual level in infinite, no one is ever born, and no one dies.”

Paul Ferrini:          “Imagine a dance in which each takes turns leading. Sometimes one person feels the music more deeply that the other and takes the lead. Another time the other person is more tuned in and leads the way.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“I am a creation of God and therefore worthy of all good.”

“I define myself not as much by who I am as by what I am. My name, face, personality, and knowledge do not reveal the essence of me. The truth of my being is beyond definition and description. I am one of God’s creations, worthy of all good.”

“I am worthy of experiencing health and happiness, prosperity and peace. The blessings of God are mine to claim, and I do so with heartfelt gratitude. I am a spiritual being, free to express the life, love, wisdom, and peace within me.”

“I recognize that divine qualities are being expressed throughout life in many ways and forms. Everyone is capable of living from his or her inner spiritual nature. We have been created by God to give expression to divine qualities, and we are worthy of all good.”

A Course in Miracles:           Lesson  193

“All things are lessons God would have me learn.”
