Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“Asking to see as Jesus would see is our sole responsibility.”
“It’s amazing how simple our lives can be if we do what the Course suggests. How many times a day do we wring our hands in worry over what action to take? How often do we lash out a friend or speak rudely to a stranger because we are obsessed with fear about our lives? There would be no stumbling blocks if we’d go to the source of all right answers; all right guidance. But Jesus will wait for us, we are told.
If all we have to do is ask Jesus for a better view, why do we struggle so long? It seems crazy to think we like the turmoil, but we can get so used to the agitation that it feels safe. Familiar pain may seem more comfortable that unfamiliar stillness. It behooves us to notice those people in our lives who are serene, who radiate a calm love and acceptance of both the joys and the upheavals in their lives. It’s probable that they have sought the right answer from the right source. We can follow their lead.”
“I will ask to see my options from Jesus’ perspective today.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Growth is not always about getting what we think we want. Always, it’s about becoming the men and women we have the potential to be: loving, pure, honest, and clear.”
Hugh Prater, Morning Notes: “Remain in the present. Walk in peace. Love and laugh easily. What more is there to do than this? God is one; that is how simple God is. Truth is true’ that is how simple reality is. Love is love; that is how simple what to do is.”
Wayne Dyer: “It was the thoughts of mental conditions that created the illusion of illness as separate from the divine, and it will be your own thoughts of spiritual perfection that will allow the healing force to work through you in your self, as well as in others.”
Paul Ferrini: “Find a partner who dances at the same speed that you do, one who will complement you and help you realize your potential. Find a partner you can empower and assist. Then, together you can help each other anchor in the truth of your experience.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I join in a powerful circle of prayer
with prayer partners throughout the world.”
“Many people of different faiths engage in the practice of prayer. Whatever the individual belief, prayer helps settle the body and open the heart and mind to a deeper awareness of God. All people who pray are part of a powerful circle of prayer.”
“When I turn within, I become the part of the circle of praying people around the word. I remember the prayer partners in Silent Unity. I remember the children kneeling for night-time prayers and the people in pews and on prayer mats, wherever they may be.”
“Whenever I turn within for moments of prayer about a specific problem or situation, a circle of praying people supports me. In this awareness, I am overjoyed to be in a supportive circle of prayer with partners throughout the world.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 200
