Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“To give and receive are one.”
“Life’s paradoxes confuse us less as we mature. We begin to understand that giving and receiving result in even exchanges. Much of society may still assume that what one gives away is gone forever, but we know differently. How refreshing to function with this awareness. We’ll never be empty-handed again.”
“Opportunities for giving are everywhere. We may not always recognize them, however, because far too many come as angry attacks or subtle put-downs. It’s probably safe to say that situations in which our giving is most needed will rarely appear as pleasant opportunities. Rising above each circumstance in order to see God within it will become second nature to us in time. The more we are able to give, unconditionally, the greater our own rewards will be.”
“Miracles are just waiting to happen. Through adopting the Course principles as guidelines for living, we become privy to the miracle of peace in every detail encounter. Most of us never imagined life could be so rich. Let’s do our part today.”
“I can contribute good to someone else’s life today by being full of love.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Here are some basics for spiritual renewal. First of all, meditation. Do transcendental meditation, Christian meditation, Jewish meditation, Buddhist meditation, open-eye meditation, full-moon meditation, Quaker meditation – it doesn’t matter. Just do it. Also pray. Engage in some sort of daily spiritual practice – nonreligious, religious, whatever. Above all else, try to forgive.”
Hugh Prater, Morning Notes: “What I want from you is what I deny I have. To want something from another is to utterly misunderstand their role in our happiness. Other people are our opportunity to extend what we are.”
Wayne Dyer: “Use your thoughts to keep your energy on healing rather than the disease.”
Paul Ferrini: “Both people must have dreams, values and aspirations that they hold in common. They must have a vision of a shared life in which they move together as a couple.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I am living in the light of God.”
“The light of God within me casts out all fear readily and completely. I am filled with the light of divine wisdom.”
“Whenever a seeming challenge does appear, the revealing light of God directs me to look past the appearance of what I am experiencing with my senses. The illumination of Spirit is the source of my inner light.”
“It is through my oneness with God that I realize the greatest possible sense of security. Therefore, I do not act from fear-based thoughts or beliefs. I invite God to shine the light of understanding so that I know the truth. Wherever I am today, wherever I go, I have clarity of thought and the true understanding that I am living in the light of God.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 202
Review Lesson 182
“I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as God created me.”
“I will be still an instant and go home.”
