Snips - Friday

There are wondrous days when we feel God's protection and presence, leadingand guiding each step and event. There are gray, dry days of spiritualbarrenness when we wonder if anything in our life is guided or planned.Wondering if God knows or cares.Seek quiet times on the gray days.
"I have not gone away child. I am here, always. Rest in me, in confidence. All in your life is being guided and planned, each detail. I know, and Icare. Things are being worked out as quickly as possible for your highestgood. Trust and be grateful. I am right here. Soon you will see, and know."Today, I will remember that God has not abandoned me. I can trust that Godis leading, guiding, directing, and planning in love each detail of my life.

Nevertheless, the real transformation takes place when we let go of our attachment and give away what we think we can't. What we do on the outer level has the power to loosen up deep-rooted patterns of holding on to ourselves. To the degree that we can give like this, we can communicate this ability to others. This is called giving the gift of fearlessness.
Pema Chödrön

“It is so easy to waste our lives: our days, our hours, our minutes... It is so easy to exist instead of live. Unless you know there is a clock ticking. So many of us changed our lives when we heard a biological clock and decided to have kids. But that sound is a murmur compared to the tolling of mortality.” Anna Quindlen
“Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways.” Stephen Vincent Benet
