Snips

We can let ourselves get our feelings out, take risks, and be vulnerable with others. We don't have to be all put together, all the time. Sometimes, getting it all out is an essential part of taking care of ourselves. We reach a point of surrender so we can move forward.Self-disclosure does not mean only quietly reporting our feelings. It meanswe occasionally take the risk to share our human side-the side with fears, sadness, hurt, rage, unreasonable anger, weariness, or lack of faith. We can let our humanity show. In the process, we give others permission tobe human too. "Together" people have their not so together moments.Sometimes, falling apart - getting it all out - is how we get put backtogether.Today, I will let it all out if I need a release.Melody Beattie ©

Happiness requires that we give up a worldly orientation - not worldly things but a worldly attachment to things. We have to surrender all outcomes. We have to live here but appreciate the joke.Marianne Williamson

AA Thought of the Day / But does trust require that we be blind to other people's motives or, indeed, to our own? Not at all; this would be folly. / As Bill Sees It. 144

Learning to be more present is therefore entirely about creating for yourself the ability to feel safe, no matter what is happening around you. You create this for yourself when you are able to seek fulfillment from within yourself, rather than searching for it from outside sources. When you feel fulfilled from within, you will feel good enough to make the mistakes that you will inevitably make when you dare to do what's important for you, right in the moment. When you are fully present, you are accepting of who you are. Your sense of self-worth is not linked to the world around you.John Kuypers

When our desire for something is a reflection of our authentic sense of self, we can focus on achieving this goal in a way that maximizes our ability to achieve it. One of the main impediments to success is that many of us have been taught to suppress our passion in favor of the logical arguments we hear from others about what we "should" do. Because of this, many of us become confused trying to separate what we really want from what we have been taught we should want.
Maggie Craddock

We need to revisit the experience of our innocence that allows us to accept all of who we are at every moment. This is where we need to be in order to have a healthy, happy, complete human existence. This is the path.
Debbie Ford

The first step towards freedom is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself.Mark Caine

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." Albert Einstein
