Science of Mind

Allowing for improvement while not expecting perfection, I am a work in progress. - Julie Cameron

Season of Change

Growth is sometimes messy. Growth can look like crying suddenly, unexpectantly, and uncontrollably. Growth can be laughing so hard it hurts. Growth can be a time of fallowness or a time of fertility. Growth is a process that has its own special and unigue rhythm initialized for each one of us. We are all works in progress.

Growth can be wonderful and it can also be challenging. There are times when we try to hide our growth process. We live in such a product-oriented society, there is a desire cultivated within us to only show the finished product. We like stories of how someone overcame adversity, but we're less interested to hear the story while someone is struggling through it. Our lack of compassion for others in this manner is often evident in our lack of compassion for ourselves.

Do you remember when you had adult-sized feet, but not an adult-sized body? Maybe at the time you were told not to dismay for with continued growth you would become proportional. This is the similiar to growth in consciousness; your vision can be bigger than the appearance of your "outer" life, which is great - for it means that you're still growing. As you do so, your consciousness always calls you forward into a fuller vision of yourself. We are here on Earth for our season of change.
