The No Spiritual Bypass Zone

What I have learned on this path is that there is truly no “spiritual bypass.” Spiritual bypass is the process by which we try to skip steps in the being with our emotions – by invoking spiritual principle. Sometimes we are afraid that our hearts will have to suffer that we flee the potential gift in the pain.

How do we avoid falling into the trap of spiritual bypass? First we are of compassionate service to ourselves by accepting where we are in the moment. This takes the skill of being able to both see where we are and who we are, and not confuse the two. This is a zone in which it is vital to honor ourselves, trust ourselves, and fill our own wells. Trust what you know and accept yourself.

Second, be willing to ask for help. Asking for assistance is a demonstration that you have trust inn the universe. There is no shame in asking for support, when you do you signal the universe of your intention to move thru your process in grace, emerging in a state of knowing and loving more.

Third, do something symbolic demonstrating self-trust and willingness to accept help. Remember your emotions contain vital information.
