Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

September 1

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Miracles are available to everyone.”

“We have all experienced people who seem to have a miraculous gift for spreading good will. Circumstances are positively enhanced and problems get smoothly resolved when they are present. We may envy them, not realizing we share their gift.”

“How we think – the way we perceive a situation – is always open to interpretations. Bringing the love and peace of the Holy Spirit to any experience will give us a far different perspective than seeing it from the ego’s point of view. The ego creates no miracles. It’s bent on destruction, in fact.”

“It doesn’t take by an instant to make a miracle. Changing our minds is all that’s necessary. The hard part is remembering that the ego has us in its clutches every minute that we aren’t holding the hand of God. Taking God’s hand lifts us from the turmoil the ego has created.”

“My experiences today
can be as miraculous as my little willingness to take the hand of God.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “The ways of the Lord are the processes of energy by which life moves forward. We move into this power through silence and communion. In the presence of God, we learn from Him His ways.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “The mind can focus either on what it has or what it thinks it doesn’t have, but it can’t do both at once. God’s holy light is in us and all around us. In quietness, may this light fill us completely and gently shine away all desires and all attachments, until, finally, our love excludes no one and our mind no longer dreams of needs.”

Wayne Dyer: “What is hope but a feeling of optimism, a thought that says things will improve, it won’t always be bleak, there’s a way to rise above the present circumstances.”

Paul Ferrini: “When you are not blaming others for your problems, you are blaming God. You think it’s His fault that you are unhappy.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“God is my all in all
– my life and the substance that sustains and enriches my life.”

“There is only ‘one body and one Spirit.’ Contemplating on the truth of the affirmation God is all in all opens me to greater understanding of the power and presence of God within me and within all others.”

“There is nothing in all creation that exists outside the presence of God or that can separate me or anyone else from the love of God. I center myself in the presence of God during a time of prayer.”

“God, You are my all in all – my life and the substance that sustains and enriches my life. Your love is the very source out of which all life is created and sustained – uniting every element with the universe and every person in the world in harmony.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 244

“I am in danger nowhere in the world.”
