Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“There must be another way.”
It’s said that Helen Schucman’s colleague, Bill Thetford, made this simple statement to Helen just before Jesus began dictating His message to her: There must be another way. Thousands of lives have dramatically and positively changed because of the message. Millions more are destined to. How exciting that we’re part of that lucky group.
It almost seems too simple that such an ordinary statement could trigger major changes in how people think, thus experience their lives. But, indeed, that’s what happened. When we make the decision to seek another way to see or solve a problem, we have opened the door to the Holy Spirit. Absolutely no situation looks or feels the same when the Holy Spirit has been consulted.
It’s a relief to know that our lives can be as simple as we choose to make them. We don’t have to struggle to worry over any situation. Whatever level of peace we desire is available, on demand.”
“Today I will remember that there is always another way to proceed if I’m stuck.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “It is only when we are ready to embrace the possibility that we might be tomorrow who we were today that true intimacy becomes attractive.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Harmlessness is proactive. Because minds are connected, ‘It’s no one else’s business’ is an inaccurate assessment. Being consistently harmless – as opposed to just talking about it – bolsters this urge within the mental atmosphere of our circle of friends, our family, and in the world. Even if this statement were true only in small measure, a little gain is better than none. Although I have at times taken huge strides, usually I walk down the road to misery in very small steps.”
Wayne Dyer: “Despair is an attitude, experienced in the mind. It is a way of looking at a life situation and feeling hopeless.”
Paul Ferrini: “You cannot be compromised if you are in acceptance of your life.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“In oneness with God,
I align my personal goals with my spiritual intention.”
“Regardless of my goals for the day, week, or year, one intention resonates within my soul: to express the presence of God more completely. The more I understand God’s presence and my own divine nature, the better I am at realizing my spiritual intention.”
“The moments I spend in reflection and prayer build me up mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. In carrying my prayer experience into daily life, I find that I can adapt my personal goals to align with my spiritual intention of oneness with God.”
“This spiritual intention is a deep sense of oneness with God from which all success, abundance, wholeness, harmony, and peace are fulfilled.”
