Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

September 7

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“As one is healed, all are healed.”

“Perhaps it doesn’t appear as though we are One, but in the world of God, Oneness is all there is. When we observe our separate minds and separate diseased bodies, we aren’t seeing the Real World. The  miracle of healed minds exists only in the Real World.

Our task is to think only love, to feel only forgiveness if we hope to attain the freedom from illness that we deserve. But sometimes we seek, instead, to hold a grudge or to elicit pity. We can’t expect to be well when that’s the case. It’s only because we forgot the parameters of the holy relationship that we sought to get our way through the shadow of illness. Such folly hinders most of us on occasion, but nothing is forever without our acquiescence.

Deciding to be well is deciding to let the Holy Spirit do our deciding for us.”

“I can contribute to the health of all my friends today
by taking care to do right by my own health.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom:     “You aren’t who you think you are. Aren’t you glad? You’re not your grades or your credentials or your house. We aren’t those things at all. We are holy beings, individuals cells in the body of Christ.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes:          “No one can be judgmental without wanting to be. This is my mind. If I didn’t want to feel this way, I wouldn’t. In trying to let go of a grievance, the question I must ask is, ‘Why do I want to judge my partner (my child, my friend, this stranger, that politician)?’ Otherwise, I fall into the trap of trying to justify my feelings by reviewing and bolstering the case I have against them. I always have the choice of not adding fuel to the fire. Being a physical victim or a victim of circumstances may not be a choice, but being a mental victim always is.”

Wayne Dyer:     “Despair itself is a mental process that sizes up and views a situation as awful. When you just recognize despair as being a mental attitude you begin a process of bringing hope to the inner vision of despair and dissolving it.”

Paul Ferrini:          “Whenever news comes that seems bad, consider this. Would God give you a questionable gift? Do not be misled by the wrapping on the box, but open it with trust. And if you still do not understand the meaning of the gift, be still and wait.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“In communion with God,
I am healed wholly and completely.”

“Dear God, I turn to Your soothing, healing presence in moments of prayer and meditation. With every breath I take in, I deepen my experience of Your presence, and with every breath I release, I let go of any sense of separation with You.”

“In communion with You, I am healed emotionally, mentally, and physically. Despite any outer symptom, I know a healing is taking place because I am created by You and You are here with me now.”

“I think of others with compassion and love, knowing that Your healing presence is active within them also. I breathe out and release any concerns I may have held. I breathe in and affirm their health and well-being, their wholeness and strength.”

A Course in Miracles:          Lesson 250

“Let me not see myself as limited.”
