Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

September 26

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“We have no private thoughts. All thoughts are shared.”

“Simply realizing that every one of our thoughts impacts others, either quietly or quite noticeably, motivates us to monitor what we are thinking. No thought is meaningless, because we affect others with our attitudes.

Let’s take care to invite the Holy Spirit to help us form our thoughts. They will be decidedly different from the ones the ego creates. The Holy Spirit will not make us compare ourselves with others. Nor will it think mean-spirited thoughts or foist ill wishes on any person. The Holy Spirit thinks only love. When the Holy Spirit is in charge, we nurture the people around us. Everyone is affected by the love we formulate in our minds. The nasty thoughts are just as powerful.”

“I will think only love today. The people around me will benefit.
So will I.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “The cornerstone of the ego’s teaching is: “The Son of God is guilty.” The cornerstone of the Holy Spirit’s teaching is: “The Son of God is innocent.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Looking at my day dispassionately is an act of love. Disapproval begins in the mind and spreads throughout. It can’t be confined to thoughts about just one event or person. When I disapprove, I cloak my world in pain. Furthermore, I have the false sense of being set apart from what I am seeing. And when I single out certain people as good – meaning ‘superior’ – I now am in the first stage of the same loveless mistake.”

Wayne Dyer: “If you have been trained to believe that your worth is in all this external stuff, then when you begin to feel that you have nothing more to gain, that the challenges of life are all met, and see that you can have any material thing you want, then you lose your inner spark of life.”

Paul Ferrini: “Many of your gifts go unacknowledged because they don’t match your pictures of what a gift should be. Often, you devalue your gift by comparing it to that of others, or you place a condition on your willingness to offer the gift.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“I am living my life in harmony with all God’s creation.”

“The universe is resounding with the music of God’s creativity. Each creation on Earth is sounding a note, contributing to the harmonious symphony that is playing.”

“An integral and important part of life is learning to live and work in harmony with one another. It is not by chance that we are where we are or that we are the special individuals who are our family, friends, and companions.”

“Nor is it chance that has brought us into their live. We have come together to learn from one another and to bless one another. We impart love and wisdom within our circles of family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. Individually and collectively, we are dedicated to being in harmony and creating new music.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 269

“My sight goes forth to look upon Christ’s face.”
