The Power of Believing

When we change our thinking, we change our life, one of our most basic teachings. Yet when we find ourselves in a crisis its easy to forget, and to revert to our old beliefs or to a place of fear. its difficult to hold on to the truth when we don't see it. Yet, its during the hard times that we most need the comfort and assurance that Spirit is not only available but closer than our very breath.

Faith is a wonderful thing, it can move mountains. Fear is the opposite of faith. When we live in a state of fear we give up the power that can turn our life around. The key to living a life filled with wonders and blessings is our belief if we see ourselves as separate from God, if we see our selves as victims, if we see ourselves as powerless then we will stay stuck wherever we are.

As we begin to set aside beliefs that no longer serve us we begin to experience change. Usually our life changes incrementally as our consciousness deepens. if your life isn't turning around as quickly as you would like it, be patient, remember that you have years of training to overcome. Developing a spiritual practice that is consistent will eventually have a life changing effect. As the Bhagavad Gita teaches us, "Man is made by his belief as he believes so he is " Affirm: In the stillness of this moment I remember who I am a child of God. I continue the journey knowing God works for me by working through me. I open my heart and mind to the Creator's message.
