Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

October 20

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“We glimpse the Real World in the instant we choose not to be afraid.”

“Perhaps we wonder how something so elusive as the Real World is attainable so effortlessly. The avenue to it, of course, is our disavowal of fear. And that disavowal is nothing more than our decision to walk with the Holy Spirit rather than the ego.”

“The ego wants us to be afraid. The ego holds us hostage, pitting us against the men and women we have chose as our Teachers. This world is our classroom, but that doesn’t mean we are stuck here against our will. We can depart in a moment’s notice, for a long period or simply an instant at a time. The departure is what’s important. It will change the dynamics of our relationship with each of our Teachers every time we make it.”

“It’s pretty exciting to contemplate how free we are to “create” the kind of day we want to experience. If we want tension or fear, it’s ours. If we’d rather enjoy peace, we can count on that too. The Real World, the “home” of eternal peace, is merely an eye-blink away.”

“Today I can choose peace over fear.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Each of us has different fears and different manifestations of fear, but all of us are saved by the same technique: the call to God to save our lives by salvaging our minds.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Today I will remember the Self I share with others and with my Source. One of the reasons I chew on what was done to me is that I gain a sense of moral superiority by comparing my role to the role played by the other person. But look at the price I pay for this concocted sense of virtue. I must embrace a damaged sense of self, then I must be vigilant to feel and act like a person who has been wronged. Today I have no use for satisfaction derived from comparisons.”

Wayne Dyer, “I suggest that it is in the dying of despairing moment that a spiritual birth takes place. By seeing the blessing in despair, as it is occurring, you birth the elixir of hope.”

Paul Ferrini: “Believe in what you want and move toward it steadily, no matter how implausible it seems to or how many obstacles seem to be in your way. Unless you want something, heart and soul, and are committed to achieving it, your goal cannot be realized.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“God is my comfort and my strength.”

“Beloved, whatever you may be going through, I am there with you. Through triumph and joy, through challenge and change, I am with you to comfort you and to give you strength.”

“I am with you wherever you go, guiding you through every experience of your life. My strength is your strength, My light is your light, My life is your life. Throughout every hour of the day and night, I am with you as love and peace.”

“When you call to Me, I will answer. I recognize your voice and know what is in your heart. I am the very foundation of life. Accept My love, peace, and inspiration, for they are yours. Accept the good that I have prepared for you, and know that you are loved unconditionally and eternally.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 293

“All fear is past and only love is here.”
