Snips

The master addiction is control. It is not lack of courage that keeps us from moving forward, as most people think; it is the fear of losing control.
The Spiritual Warrior can overcome addictions by surrendering control and confronting inner enemies by embracing them like ones own children who are misguided and looking for loving discipline from the one who has control. By being the master of acceptance, cooperation, understanding, empathy and enthusiasm.
John-Roger

When we admit the truth about our limitations and defects, we create fertile
ground for new growth and change. But if we wallow in hopeless belief that
our defects are just our true nature, we grow committed to them. That is the
difference between powerlessness and helplessness. When we accept our
powerlessness to control everything, we wake up to a deeper wisdom: that
more willfulness only brings more defeat.

When you are secure in who you are, you set the trend for your own life, and
do not look to others to tell you how to live. When you know that every truth you seek is available within you, you will not place someone else's idea of how you should live, above your own.
Alan Cohen

Until you make peace with who you are, you'll never be content with what you have.
