Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

November 1

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Salvation is the miracle of right choosing.”

“The ideas in the Course offer us salvation from the pain and conflict that arises every instance that the ego takes charge of our lives. Choosing to let the Holy Spirit direct our thinking and our actions saves us from unnecessary and enlightening pain.

Why would anyone ever choose to forego the miracle? It’s certainly not done with foresight. But when we’re still taking baby steps along this new spiritual path, we can’t see what lies ahead. It’s only after enduring the mistakes from our choices that we understand the ramifications. The idea of control seduced us until we realized the extent of our imprisonment.

Freedom from pain, anxiety, uncertainty, and fear is the miracle we are guaranteed if we make the simple, right choice repeatedly. It’s easy to seek the insight of the Holy Spirit.”

“My peacefulness is in jeopardy today
unless I turn a deaf ear to the ego.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Whatever you do, do it for God.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “My ego focuses on eventual improvement. My deeper self focuses on my present state of mind. Fear is the belief that the future may in some way duplicate the past. There is usually very little to fear within the moment. My dread of making mistake rests on the conviction that what has happened to my in the past is more important than my present mental state. But nothing is more important than my present mental state.”

Wayne Dyer: “One of the highest qualities of self-actualized people is their ability to see beauty everywhere, and to source life from the presence of beauty.”

Paul Ferrini: “There is no one who will refuse love when it is offered without conditions. And who will offer it but you…?”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“All that I say and do comes from my heart of love
and my thoughts of peace.”

“As we take time to pray at the beginning of the day, we know how best to communicate with others. We pray so that the words we speak come from our hearts of love and our thoughts of peace. We pray so that everything we do will proclaim that God is with every one of us at all times.”

“A portion of what we communicate to others comes through the words we speak. We also communicate through out attitudes and actions. A smile, a touch, a few moments spent to honor and respect the friends and strangers who pass through our lives every day make all of our days so much more enjoyable.”

“We are creations of God who live the truth of who we are. Holding this vision for others, we reflect this truth back to them.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 305

“There is a peace that Christ bestows on us.”

Namaste – Ron
