Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

November 6

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

Healing opportunities wear coats of many colors.”

“The men and women in our lives who are easy to love and forgive as less our Teachers than those we despise. We so much more easily and gratefully identify with the former. It’s a most difficult lesson to understand that the more obvious traits in an associate are specifically present for us. Let’s recall what this means.

The goal of this Course and any spiritual pathway, for that matter, is to become aware of the lie regarding our separation from God and one another. We never really left Heaven; we never actually separated from our Creator. The ego tells us otherwise, but that’s because of its insanity. And it can only stay alive if it succeeds in pitting against one another; thus, the anger or disgust we feel for a friend or a stranger is the ego’s dirty work.

The important task for us is to see through the qualities we despise and realize the perpetrator of this perception is none other than ourselves When we finally understand this, we’ll be close to realizing the Oneness that’s been true all along. Our healing and our return home happen in tandem.”

“I will not be revolted by anyone today.
With the Holy Spirit’s help, I’ll see people for what they really are.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Disease is love turned into fear – our energy, meant to sustain us, turned against ourselves. Energy cannot be destroyed. Our job is not to kill disease, but to turn its energy back in the direction is came from – to turn fear back into love.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “I have a past, but only I can bring it into the present. A sure way to stay unhappy is to be protective of the past that I have so painstakingly accumulated. My body is a symbol. It is the past seen within the moment. And I insist that others take it into consideration because I believe it is my identity. But a body can also reflect a divine presence. One reason most little children are so happy and have such boundless energy is that they have very little past to drag behind them. This allows their minds to function as designed. Basically they process only the present, which is the dwelling place of God.”

Wayne Dyer: “…a problem is no longer a problem when we bring the faster/higher vibrations of spirit to bear on the illusions, including the illusion of darkness.”

Paul Ferrini: “In the past, you have given and received through the lens of your fear. But that time is over. Now you know that your fear holds you apart from the love you want. It keeps you in exile from those who love you and need your love.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“My heart overflows with thankfulness
for the abundant blessings of God.”

“From a grateful heart, I give thanks for the abundant blessings of God. I am thankful for nourishing food and a comfortable home. I am grateful for the people in my life – whether they are family members, friends, or neighbors.”

“With each breath I take, I breathe in the life of God. My senses are blessed with the beauty of God’s creation, an abundant gift that changes with the seasons yet remains in my heart as a reminder of God’s bounty.”

“Spring, summer, fall, or winter, God’s abundance blesses me and reminds me of how truly prosperous I am.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 310

“In fearlessness and love I spend today.”
