Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“In the ego’s thought system, death is God’s punishment.”
“To transcend the ego’s thought system, and thus the idea and fear of death, is one goal of the Course. Every day each experience is an opportunity to let the Holy Spirit formulate out thoughts and vision. When we choose that option, we’ll feel free, awash with love. Death will never cross our minds when we live in the Holy Spirit’s thought system.
Some may wonder what difference it makes whether we fear death or not. The difference is that the dread of death colors how we see and how we react to every person and event in our lives. When we determine our behavior on whether we’ll be punished for it or not, we’re not expressing unconditional love or forgiveness. The ego is bargaining with the people in our lives and we’ll never know peace.”
“The idea of death does not occur to me when I’m expressing the love of God.
I’ll note how this changes my experiences today.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Healing is a return to love. “
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Be willing to be happy as a little child. In the realm of the world, we are our children’s teachers, but in the realm of the divine, they are here to teach and guide us. Today, whenever I remember, I will release my adult rigidity and be a kid again.”
Wayne Dyer: “Problems exist for us when we allow ourselves to have debased thoughts. When our thoughts are impure they create contaminations in our lives and in the lives of those around us.”
Paul Ferrini: “Come. Lay your burdens down. Why hold on to your pain and suffering when love’s promise can be fulfilled right here, right now?”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I respond to life in positive, creative ways.”
“Each day, life presents me with choices that will impact my life and may impact the lives of others. I know that every choice offers me an opportunity to act on the guidance of God.”
“I understand that feeling frustrated by my seemingly limited choices is, in itself, a choice. Instead I decide to hold positive thoughts about the moment and the future. I also choose to invite direction from and give thanks for God’s loving presence.”
“From a deep awareness of the presence of God in and through all, I respond to life in positive and creative ways. I rejoice that each day offers me alternatives. I make choices decisively and condifently.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 311
“I judge all things as I would have them be.”
