Seeds for the Garden of your Mind

November 14

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“When the ego is threatened we can expect a battle –
an inner one or an actual one with a companion.”

“ What is a threatened ego? It’s when the ego feels like it’s losing control of a situation or some person. The fear of this happening is so overwhelming that the ego attacks whoever is present, sometimes relentlessly. Does it maintain control through this process? Never, at least not for long. The cycle of conflict just keeps repeating itself with nothing gained.

The futility of this process drives some of us to finally ask, “Is there another way?” A Course in Miracles has been offered as our answer. Let’s be grateful that Bill Thetford posed that same question. We’re the ones able to profit from the reply. There is another way and it’s so simple. We seek another understanding of the circumstances or the people who seem to be the cause of our discontent. Our perceptions will change. Peace will surround us, providing we want it more than the seduction of control.”

“If I am caught in a special relationship today,
I’ll remember I can make it a holy one.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Capacity is expressed in the present. It is immediate. The key to it lies not in what we have inside of us, but rather in what we are willing to own that we have inside of us.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “To know truth, practice truth. Simply practice knowing and you will know. Practice trusting and you will have the grounds for trust. Practice your heart and you will be happy. Practice your self and you will know a self that touches all things in peace.”

Wayne Dyer: “When you need advice or help from someone, whose opinion do you trust? The one who is only interested in having you feel good, or the one who will tell you the truth irrespective of how you might react to what they are telling you?”

Paul Ferrini: “My disciples see the light in each soul…They overlook apparent evil and injustice by focusing on the indwelling goodness of all beings.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“Aglow with God’s healing light,
I am an expression of radiant wholeness.”

“At one with the ever-present peace of God, I relax and allow my mind and body to remain at ease. I breathe slowly and comfortable. With each breath I release, I let go of any stress or worry. With each breath I take in, I relax more deeply and completely.”

“I imagine shaded ribbons of translucent color in a rainbow arched across a sunlit sky. Nature’s prism is radiant with color and light.”

“I, too, am a natural expression of radiant light. Each cell in my body dances with the glow of health and wholeness. Each cell in my mind beams with sustaining brilliance.”

“God is light, power, and life within that heal and strengthen me. I am an expression of radiant wholeness.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 318

“In me salvation’s means and end are one.”

Namaste - Ron
