Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

November 23

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“The goal is to lose sight of our separateness.”

“The ego loves to keep us feeling separate from others at work, at home, in our families, in our social groups, everywhere. This is how the ego manages to control our thoughts and actions.

Feeling separate from anyone, anytime never nurtures us. We get obsessed with comparisons, feeling either inferior or superior. We can’t experience love, our own or someone else’s, when we are measuring ourselves against others. But how can we see beyond the separateness?

It’s not accidental that we have begun to ask this question. Neither is it accidental that we are gravitating toward others who seek this answer too. The desire, the little willingness to be at peace with others, will move us closer to the Holy Spirit. And our feelings of separateness will begin to fall away.”

“Today I will remember that giving my feelings of separateness is a process.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Our connection to God is life itself.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Anger is never justified. The simple acknowledgment that God does not judge the person I am judging begins to undercut my certainty that my anger is justified.”

Wayne Dyer: “Do not pretend or fake happiness when darkness is present. Instead, cultivate an internal sense of awe about yourself and your place in the world.”

Paul Ferrini: “Love is not something you do. Love is who you are. You are the embodiment of love in this moment. Nothing less.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“My heart is filled with the joy of thanksgiving.”

“This day is a special day – a day to enjoy the company of family and friends, a time to reflect on joyous memories of the past and on possibilities for the future.”

“This day also holds the promise of being another splendidly ordinary day filled with blessings. I am thankful for times of activity, play, and rest. I am ready to embrace every marvelous facet of nature and every smile, to show my appreciation for every loving word and deed, and to seize the good in the present moment.”

“This is a day of sacred awareness. I know who I am as a child of God, and I affirm this truth for all others. Such an understanding of our divine kinship fills my heart with the joy of thanksgiving.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 327

“I need but call and You will answer me.”

Namaste – Ron
