Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

February 9

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Changing hate to love is possible.”

“If our memories are filled with pain, we may find it hard to let go of the hate we feel is justified. Being told our parents did the best they could maybe doesn’t agree with us that well. Transgressions against us now are just as difficult to overlook. And we wonder if it’s right to relieve others of responsibility for their behavior. Many psychologies and philosophies suggest we shouldn’t. But where does that get us? That’s the burning question.”

“Blaming others for our problems denies the individual journey we are each here to make. While we may agree that no one in his or her Right Mind wants to experience pain and trauma, most of us don’t live in our Right Mind all that often. The Right Mind is the one that knows and sees only love. From its perspective, there have been no injuries or transgressions. What we saw and felt was what the ego sought. Nothing less.”

“Living in our Right Mind is the only way to change our hate to love. Living in our Right Mind, we acknowledge that our journey has been purposeful and we have learned the glory of love.”

“If I feel hate or anger today,
I’ll recognize it as an opportunity to “change my mind.”

Marianne Williamson: “It is the purpose of our lives to cause a better world.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Awareness disarms my ego. Our busy, conflicted mind never forgives, for only peace can see innocence. Whenever I fall back into my ego, all the old stuff is still there. There is no way to perfect it, but there is a way to disarm it. When I look long and carefully at my judgments, when I ‘look the beast in the eye,’ I begin to see that these are not my deepest feelings. But I must stay with that process long enough that I truly do perceive a different side of me and not just sugarcoat the mental contents with pleasant words.”

Wayne Dyer: “Every time you find yourself labeling others or yourself, you are setting up a potential problem.”

Paul Ferrini: “I entered the dance of life as you have entered it, to grow in understanding and acceptance, to move from conditional love to the experience of love without conditions.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“One in heart and mind with God,
I live in harmony with others.”

“Imagine living in a world that is free from conflict. Everyone is seeing good in everyone else. Imagine us knowing that God’s work is being done through everything we do. Then let us make these images a reality.”

“What will it take to change this world into one where love and respect for one another are the standards? It will simply take each one of us modeling ways of living harmoniously. By looking for and praising the good in another person, we enhance and even revive a relationship.”

“If each of us healed a relationship with just one other person, imagine what a difference that would make in our world. Love one another isn’t really optional. It is what we are created to do.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 40

“I am blessed as a Son of God.”

I am blessed – I am holy – I am whole – because I am as God is. I am the Son of God and am His Image and Likeness. All too often I forget this – all too often I am busy making judgments of myself and others. All too often I forget this because I am busy having thoughts of fear instead of love. All too often I pause and remember my truth.

Namaste - Ron
