Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“We can heal all our problems.”
“We love to blame others for what ails us. Yet this is never satisfying for long. It’s much more fruitful to accept responsibility for whatever is going on in our lives, because only then can we get free of the problem for good.
This seems impossible, perhaps. But until we have taken charge of the perspective we desire, we can’t fathom how easy it really is. Seeing the events of our lives through the loving eyes of the Holy Spirit eliminates their sting. What we perceive as problems are nothing more than faulty perceptions of the myriad expressions of love or appeals for healing and help. Cultivating the willingness and vision to see only love are wonderful exercises for the mind.”
“Problems are as fleeting as the blink of my eye.
They can also be refocused on at will.
I am the healer of my life.”
Marianne Williamson: “Angels are powerful thought forms that help to hold the world together. To call on the angels is to move our attention in a higher, more creative direction, to invoke the structures of a more enlightened worldview.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “The jailer is also in jail. Freedom is found in little things – in errands and tasks and small encounters. Today I will practice freedom by remaining aware of the situation I am in, the individuals who are present, and the quality of my thoughts. I will not force my thoughts, but simply stay conscious of the sentence layer of my mind, which tends to focus narrowly on who or what needs to change. In wanting to control, I am automatically controlled. Instead I will extend freedom by putting no pressure on other people and making no attempt to micromanage events. I will do what I do with flexibility and ease and a steady, peaceful awareness.”
Wayne Dyer: “If you think about hating being overweight you will have to act upon what you are thinking and more hating being overweight will continue to show up in your life.”
Paul Ferrini: “I say to you…stop pretending that the door is locked. I am here at the threshold. Reach out and take my hand and we will open the door and walk through together.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“My heart overflows with God’s love.”
“An act of forgiveness has an immediate, positive effect on me, for it begins a healing activity within me. Whether I am the one who is offering or receiving forgiveness, I am blessed. I release any need to respond to the harsh words or unkind actions of others. I release disappointment if any lack of consideration is expressed or acceptance is denied.”
“The healing effect is powerful each time God’s love is expressed as forgiveness. All emotions are soothed, all physical discomfort is relieved, and all tensions between people is dissipated.”
“As our hearts overflow with God’s love, mutual appreciation, caring, and respect are shared among myself and others. My relationships take on greater meaning and purpose.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 47
“God is the strength in which I trust.”
What keeps me on this path back to an wakening that I believe in? What keeps me moving along this path although I am tempted so many times to simply stop? What keeps me going to the silence instead of staying in the noise? It is the strength within me – the strength of my truth – the very core of my essence – it is God. And I know – I trust – that the strength will forever be there for me, and It shall.
