Tao Te Ching

All is Paradox

The movement of the Great Integrity
Is infinite,
Yet its character is passive.
Being defines every form of life,
Yet all originates in,
And return to, non-being.

Interesting. One would think that all returns back into energy.

Hi Katie,
Now, we say it all returns to energy, but 5000 years ago when this was written, I wonder what they thought of energy and form.

The main application of the paradox and the principle of opposites for us is that having reached the point of the development of modern civilization of extreeme violence, competitiveness and fragmentation (extreme yang) we are now seeding the transformation to its opposite. Lao Tzu's Great Integrity (yin). Here is a key to our closet of lost hopes. - Exerpted from Commentary

When we hit one extreme, we can rest assure that the other extreme will balance everything out at some point in time. That is the yin and the yang. - jimmy
