Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“A full reversal of our thinking is required by this Course.”
“All spiritual paths are governed by a set of principles. This obviously true of A Course in Miracles also. As beginning students of the Course, we may have found some of the principles confusing, even nonsensical. That’s perhaps because what we believed in the past is quite dissimilar, in many ways, to what the Course proposes. For instance, few if any other paths suggest that this world doesn’t really exist. And this principle is key to understanding every other part of this particular path.
It’s not easy to give up all past beliefs in an instant. Fortunately, we have all the time we need. Indeed, another Course principle is that time doesn’t really exist either. Now is all there is. Whenever we come to accept the ideas presented on this pathway, it is absolutely right for us. We’ll learn what we need to learn when we really need to know it. But if we are eager to speed our education along, we can request that God assist us. He will. He already has, in fact, by giving us the Holy Spirit as comforter, guide, and Teacher. We’re guaranteed that we will understand this path and find our way home when we’re ready.”
“My old beliefs may still hold me captive,
but I can discard them today with God’s help.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “The key to empowerment, personal and collective, is the understanding that, although darkness stalks light, the light will always reassert itself. No matter what is happening, the universe is invested in healing. God always has the final say.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Blessed are those who try again. Trying again is an act of faith, not in predictable outcomes, but in predictable blessings. We reach a time in life when we see that things have not turned out as we believed in our youth they would. We become afraid to hope, afraid to try again. We especially tend to be cynical about forming new friendships or finding a potential partner. Then the possibility of a new relationship opens up, or the potential of an old one is recognized, for never does God stop presenting opportunities. Naturally, a part of us is skeptical and holds back. We think that protecting ourselves is more important than loving another person. But nothing is more important than love.”
Wayne Dyer, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem: “You must say good-bye, albeit with unconditional love, to anyone who pollutes your life space with slowed down energy.”
Paul Ferrini, Reflections of the Christ Mind: “Ultimately, the end human suffering comes when you decide that you have suffered enough, when each of you, in your own lives, begins to ask for better way.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I am a courageous and strong creation of God.”
“I may wonder, if life never offered challenges, how would I ever discover the depth of my courage and skills?”
“In truth, I have all that I need to meet any circumstance. I have the ability to respond to life’s situations with poise, grace, and wise action. And I do this in all matters by including prayer as my daily practice.”
“As I still my body and mind in quiet times of contemplation, I breathe gently and easily. I remember the truth about me: I am divine in nature. Whole in mind and body, I have all the spiritual faculties needed to triumph in any situation.”
“Taking a full, deep breath, I return my attention to my surrounding. I am a courageous and strong creation of God.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 60
Review Lessons 46 – 50
“God is the Love in which I forgive.”
“God is the strength in which I trust.”
“There is nothing to fear.”
“God’s Voice speaks to me all through the day.”
“I am sustained by the Love of God.”
Remembering that God is forever present with me, a part of and the whole of me, I realize that what I experience is the Love of God within me always and all ways. With the Love of God – with that which I am in truth – I can forgive myself – I can trust myself – I can love myself. Fear is not present in the presence of love. The Voice of God speaks to me at all times. I have but to listen to it. I am because I AM the Love of God.
