Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“All People are holy.”
“When we have known abusive men or women, or observed violent attacks between people, it’s not easy to accept that all people are holy. Some seem the devil incarnate, in fact. What can it possibly mean that all people are holy? This is one of the Course’s teachings that eludes us easily.
It’s helpful to remember that what we see, regardless of its intensity, is a form we have created based on the ego’s needs. In other words, when we see the “unholiness” in others, we are really only seeing the unholiness we suspect is part of ourselves. The antidote to this depressing vision is forgiveness. Forgiveness that we aren’t perfect according to our own assessment, thus forgiveness of everyone else too. Remember, we are not separate minds and separate bodies; the ego simply makes us think we are.
Deciding to look upon all people as holy today will allow us to see each of them more lovingly, and we’ll feel more loving toward ourselves too.”
“I see only holiness today. It’s my choice.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Build community. Nurture those less fortunate. Become yourself. Seek God. No less potent steps than these will be deep enough to move you forward.”
Morning Notes, Hugh Prather: “Happiness is peace, not comparison. There is no greater fear that the fear of being happy, because happiness threatens our ego autonomy. To be happy we would have to give up our unhappy opinions of other people. If the people in our lives were profoundly innocent, we think this would reflect badly on us – because we believe that a comparison is all we are. Today I will remember that within Love there are no rankings, no distinctions, and no hierarchy.”
Wayne Dyer: “ What you think about will eventually come to be your habit. Giving yourself permission to think about shifting to a higher spiritual base will get the wheels in gear to override the ego.”
Paul Ferrini, “People who are afraid of love ask for it nonetheless. Yet when it comes to them, they are unable to receive it. They want love to come in a perfect shape and size. And it never comes that way. Real love comes from essence, not appearance.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“Living and giving from a considerate heart,
I am loving and kind.”
“It has been said that the kind thoughts of one person have the power to cancel out the negative thoughts of several other people. I may find this hard to verify scientifically. However, I know that I feel the positive energy shift that happens in my relationships when I am being considerate of others.”
“Knowing the healing power of a kind act, I make a habit of being attentive to the needs and wishes of those around me. Expressing kindness to just one other person, I literally transform my corner of the world.”
“Giving daily – or many times a day – from a considerate heart, I focus on creating moments of kindness, and my life takes on new meaning. Committed to enhancing the lives of others, I discover what it truly means to ‘live the good life.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 71
“Only God’s plan for salvation will work.”
Is God’s plan for salvation the happiness He has planned for me? Are my own thoughts of fear – of sin and guilt – holding me from experiencing that which God has given me? God has given me the free will with which to choose – but which choice is mine to make – but never alone. I have but to ask for guidance and it is there waiting for me.

I like this. I believe in this.
Although, it is difficult sometimes for others to understand... especially when it pertains to my lifestyle. People think that I need to have "things" I don't. People think that I need to be climbing the ladder. I don't. People think a lot of things and what they think tells me is that they do not understand me. They do not know the essence of me. That we are not on the same path. That is something I can accept... I am happy being me.
Thanks for the enlightening posts Jimmy James!
The biggest thing we can do is be happy, and only I can create the life for being happy, jpyous, and loving. Once I can be that for myself, than i can also be taht for another and give some of that away. Then by giving it away, the Universe will return an abundant supply back to me.
I grew up in thinking I was lacking some material things, but as I have matured, the material things do not mean anything. The house can burn to the ground, and I can rebuild it exactly as it was. But a friendship and this moment can never be rebuilt, replaced and this is what counts, just being who we are.
Money means nothing except to give one some freedom in their spare time to pursue ones passion. Unless you are able to turn that passion into a living. Some do.
My lifestyle is preferably simple and without drama. A good fire, a starlite night, a nice wine, a cool breeze whistling thru the branches, watching the heavens and stars twinkle and wink at one are the moments to cherish.
It is I who owe you a thanks for stopping by and posting to this lonely blog. I know people stop and read it, but few post. Your comments really add an additional flair and insight to the posts.
Thanks Katie
