Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“To harm another is really to harm oneself.”
“Most of us aren’t free yet of the wish for ill to befall others. But we are getting there. Slowly, one experience at a time, we are learning that whatever we wish on others comes to us as well. Our guilt for not being perfect is what triggers our projection. Guilt is such a powerful controller of our actions.
Why do we feel so much guilt? Primarily it’s because we allow the ego to do most of our thinking. The ego never wants what’s best for us. If it did, it wouldn’t hold us hostage, comparing our traits with those of others, judging either us or them as inferior, and plotting our subsequent “success.”
We wear ourselves out trying to stay ahead of the pack. How much more exhilarating our lives would be if we moved among our companions blessing them with loving thoughts rather than wishing them harm. We’d immediately feel more peaceful and energized if we expressed only well-wishing.”
“I will get further along my path today
if I don’t waste time tripping others.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Our commitment to being a part of humanity’s rebirth is our commitment to fundamental change. The change we seek cannot be achieved through any human auspices, but only through the spirit of God.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “The answer to prayer is not withheld until later. A future would be necessary only if it provided me with what I presently lack. But what could be lacking in God? Our spiritual path is a shift from a dream of needs to a consciousness of wholeness. Today I will choose my desires for the present over my desires for the future by asking, ‘How can I feel my connection to God this instant?”
Wayne Dyer, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem: “Practice awareness of the impossibility of being outside the omni-present spirit.”
Paul Ferrini, Reflections of The Christ Mind: “When love is in your heart, the path opens before your. Actions flow spontaneously from you. There is no self-consciousness, ambivalence or deliberation. For these are not the qualities of love.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“I am confident and capable throughout every experience.”
“An ocean mollusk, with few skills for survival, can live appropriately and safely within a protected shell, unaware of the vast and wondrous world that surrounds it.”
“I choose not to live in a shell, always staying in familiar surroundings or sticking with old routines. I accept the many opportunities to expand and grow that God is leading me to experience.”
“I give thanks for divine discernment, for in the silence, right opportunities become clear to me. I have a strength that comes from knowing God’s spirit is within me and accompanies me everywhere I go.”
“I am confident and capable throughout every new experience.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 75
“The light has come.”
And I am that Light! I AM the Light of the world and I will shine upon my darkness so that it is not seen. I shall be the light for other to see as well. As I awaken I know deep within me that my truth will shine forth from me. As it falls upon others, they also will experience the light within themselves, and they shall shine forth upon others. And the Oneness shall be seen by all.
