Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

March 28

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“The ego judges.”

“We all pass judgment on others; that’s our human condition. Our opportunity now, however, is to recognize that and to ask to have our perspective changed. The first step is to acknowledge our eagerness to judge. Next comes our willingness to rise above it.

Let’s not be ashamed of having an ego. We all have one. Jesus has one too. It’s the ease with which we relinquish our ego-driven responses that reveals how much more divine than human we are.

How we get from being judgmental to being accepting is the journey of our lives. By monitoring what we think and say to ourselves and others, we learn who we are. If we aren’t at peace with what we discover, every experience offers a chance to rectify our attitude and our self-perception. It’s never too late to take a road less traveled on our journey.”

“The ego is familiar but seldom my friend.
I’ll keep that in mind today.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “We must learn to think only divine thoughts. Angels of the thoughts of God, and in Heaven, humans think like angels. Angels light the way.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “If I am a part of God, I must do my part. The part of us that touches God, we must touch. The part of us that hears heaven’s song, we must hear. The part of us that feels the comfort of Home, we must feel. Be still, and it is accomplished.”

Wayne Dyer, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem: “When you attempt to feel spiritual you erect a barrier, because you are then introducing ego into the picture. Ego wants to praise you for being more spiritual than those around you, and condemn you when others are more spiritual than you.”

Paul Ferrini, Reflections of The Christ Mind: “Your life is made up of goodness assaulted by doubt and fear. How many times during the course of a day do doubt and fear challenge your perception of your goodness? How many times do they challenge your perception of your neighbor’s goodness?”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“The Christ of my being is revealing the wonder of forgiveness in my life today.”

“Forgiveness begins within me – my own thoughts and attitudes. Through the inner guidance of the Christ Spirit, I make a shift of thinking about what is wrong in my life to thinking about wonderful new possibilities.”

“My sincere acts and words of forgiveness open the way for both physical and emotional healing. As I forgive, I clear away any debris from past incidents, conversations, and actions. I create an atmosphere in which healing takes place as understanding, cooperation, and agreement.”

“The new energy and zest for living I have tapped into are evident in the way I look and feel. I enjoy being in the company of others because my expectation is of good. With each new day, I am eager to discover the wonder that the Christ Spirit within is about to reveal.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 87

Review Lessons 73 and 74
Lesson 73 – “I will there be light.”
Lesson 74 – “There is no will but God’s”

Within me, given to me by God, is the power of God. That power is to be used by me so that others may also find within themselves their power as well. I will – I proclaim – that light shall be present in my world and light is seen. Darkness is no longer. This is what God has in His Plan for me. This is the Will of God.

So true. I try not to judge. Sometimes I catch myself - then I say shush! Sometimes we simply need to choose our words better...
