Seeds for the Garden of Your Mnd

March 7

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Spirit is God’s creation.”

“The idea that we decided on the form our bodies would take, that God was responsible only for the Spirit inherent in the form, is awesome and all too elusive. Sometimes we confuse ourselves even more by trying to capture the idea and make it concrete. Not all truths can be concrete. Some simply have to be accepted and, in time, they will be understood.

We can understand now, however, that if God created only spirit, the turmoil we encounter is related to us, not God. That can only mean it’s up to us to disengage from the turmoil. God doesn’t do it for us, but if we concentrate on spiritual matters rather than the ordeal of the moment, we will get free of it. Practicing this principle will prove it to us. And this proof will set us free every time we don’t like what we are experiencing.

Our lives are simpler when we start to live them from the Course’s perspective. Our example can help others to simplify their lives too.”

“I will look only for the Spirit in the people I meet today.
This way I can avoid all conflicts.”

Marianne Williamson: “Getting angry at someone else might make us feel better for a while, but ultimately all the fear and guilt comes back at us. If we judge other people, then they’ll judge us back – and even if they don’t, we’ll feel like they did!”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Faith is the willingness to rest in the arms that already hold me. The bully is usually the leader of the playground, the ruthless often climb the corporate ladder faster, politicians willing to lie routinely get reelected, and mean people frequently live longer than nice people. Goodness is seldom reward in the world. But goodness is rewarded. And the reward is immediate, because only those committed to being good experience peace, which transcends the world.”

Wayne Dyer, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem: “If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies. Succeed anyway.”

Paul Ferrini, Reflections of the Christ Mind: “No one way is better than another. You will not get home faster if you believe in me than you will if you believe in Krishna or Buddha. The man or woman who loves makes the most progress.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“From a peaceful heart,
I am contributing to the harmony in my world.”

“I bring harmony to my own relationships and experiences by living from the love of God within me. Love is a power that bonds me with others in harmonious relationships and peaceful activities.”

“Wherever the love of God is shared, there is harmony. Each day, in thoughtful, caring ways I contribute to the harmony in my home, my workplace, and my community. My thoughts are harmonious and in sync with the peace of God – a peace that brings balance and restores hope wherever I may be and with all my interactions.”

“With my mind at peace, I think clearly and fairly. From a heart of love, I contribute to the orderly outworking of every situation. The love and peace within me radiate from me as the focus of my conversations and actions.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 66

“My happiness and my function are one.”

Truly my happiness and my function of forgiveness can easily be seen as one and the same. As I forgive myself, I experience the happiness that is mine. Without forgiveness I experience depression and sadness. If I am aware of my feelings, I will know what I must do. If I am sad and/or depressed, I realize that forgiveness is needed. If I am happy, I know that it is my true state of being.
