“Joy and peace are natural.”
“If joy and peace are natural feelings, why do we feel fear and anger so frequently and easily? The culprit is the ego. It like to keep us in its power; it relishes the separateness it makes us feel. Our vulnerability is always exposed when the ego is in control.
How do we find natural joy and peace? The Course says we don’t have to look for them. They are present when we are open to the love of the Holy Spirit. There is only one choice we ever need to make, and that’s whether to rely on the ego or the Holy Spirit regarding the many details of our lives.
This seems almost too simple. In fact, those among us who have been students for a while say it is simple. Life is only difficult when the ego is leading. Otherwise, it flows smoothly, free of barriers, making us happy and serene every step of the way.
Why would we ever choose to follow the ego when the Holy Spirit is just as close? We’ll never have a definitive answer. We don’t really need one. Just being aware of our inclination to follow one rather than the other may keep us on the safer course.”
“If I’m not joyful today,
I have taken the wrong path.
I don’t have to stay on it, however.”
Marianne Williamson: “We will always learn what we have chosen to teach. “Ideas leave not their source,” which is why we are always a part of God, and why our ideas are always a part of us.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Faith is a willingness to rest within the present. Faith is not an argument or a demonstration. It requires no subsequent results or logical validation. Nor is it the result of signs and wonders. It is experienced instantly when welcomed, and it leaves only comfort within. Once faith has delivered us to the peace of God, it is no longer needed.”
Wayne Dyer, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem: “What you spend years building, someone may destroy overnight. Build anyway.”
Paul Ferrini, Reflections of the Christ Mind: “Words and beliefs that separate you from others must be put aside. If you wish to walk a path of Grace, overlook the differences you see, find what you can share with others and focus on these things.”

“The intelligence of God is expressing divine ideas through me.”
“My imagination is a creative power I use to give shape and form to divine ideas. As I unite my imagination with a willingness to act on divine guidance, I add beauty and meaning to whatever receives my time and attention.”
“The flowers I envision planting in row after row today will become the beautiful garden I enjoy in the months to come. As I let my imagination give form to a scene, I begin to fill a blank canvas with life and color.”
“Perhaps I use imagination to bring about a better arrangement of the furniture in my home or a more efficient workflow on the job. As I let the intelligence of God express divine ideas through me, I free my imagination to soar to new heights of expression.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 68
“Love holds no grievances.”
Where love is present, fear cannot be. Love holds love. Love cannot hold fear. Grievance is fear, so love cannot hold grievances. For me to demonstrate that it can is for me to demonstrate a lie – a falsehood. This means simply that I cannot hold grievances for I AM love. God does not and cannot hold grievance. Do I think I am different from God? I AM as God created me – as God IS, I AM.
