Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“Our problems come from wrong-mindedness.”
How can something happening outside of us be due to our own wrong-mindedness? The wreck on the freeway that detains us, the unexpected thunderstorm during our picnic, our grandson’s illness while visiting – certainly none these happenings seem related to make problems of situations even though we could choose to see a brighter view.
Our age often indicates how invested we are in our interpretation of life. Seeing it always as happening to us rather than just happening indicates our negativity. But can we change? When we reach a certain age, what chance have we got?
It’s a good thing we have learned that from the perspective of the Course, there is no time, not in the Real World. Everything happens in an instant. What seems like years of thinking one way is merely a flash. We can think something new just as quickly.”
“I have no real problems today. It’s my vision that’s the problem.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “A healthy life is not determined by physical condition. Life is merely the presence of love, and death is merely it absence.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “In stillness I will ask what God sees. There is a sense in which the world has purpose and meaning and individuals are perfect just the way they are. Obviously that not how it looks, and telling people in pain that ‘everything happens for a reason’ is flat out cruel. But when we are still we can sometimes sense that there is another take on all this insanity. So today I will let the world be the way it is, and I will silently ask what God sees in each person’s heart that I don’t see.”
Wayne Dyer, Your Sacred Self: “When you make the decision to pray, rather than directing your prayer outward and seeking special consideration from God, make an attempt to be in the mind of God…”
Paul Ferrini, Enlightenment for Everyone: “There are no conditions for enlightenment, except for the ones you bring…Just accept life as it unfolds and you are the clear window through which the light passes.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“The ever-present light of Christ guides me
to freedom and fulfillment.”
“I understand that negative thoughts and words are not simply a harmless habit. By choosing not to think or speak negatively, I am free to live from my joyful spirit. With my mind illumined in prayer by the ever-present light of Christ within, I am inspired to express that light to others.”
“The Christ in me is God in expression through me. My ultimate purpose is to express this highest and best of myself in my thoughts, words, and actions. As I do, I experience an immediate feeling of fulfillment.”
“When my words and actions bring a smile to others, it’s as if those smiles are reflecting the light of Christ back to me. When a choice I make increases my heart’s joy and delight, I know I am choosing correctly. I am guided in a life of freedom and fulfillment.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 95
“I am one Self, united with my Creator.”
The idea of Oneness appears numerous times in the Course. Its concept is not easy for a bunch of bodies to grasp, but for a group of minds to comprehend, it is as simple as it gets. I am as God created me – created me One with Itself. I am as God created me – created me in Oneness with Itself. As God IS, I AM. There is no place that God is, that I am not also. There is no place that I AM that God is not also.

Negativity is an absence of light.
