Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“A ‘healer’ heals for an instant.”
“Who are the healers among us? Before our introduction to the Course, we likely thought of ‘healers’ as being different from the rest of us, as having extra sensitivity and claiming to understand others better than the others themselves.
It’s true that some people are extraordinarily sensitive, but it’s also true that all of us are healers. We are learning how that to heal means to love unconditionally and accept being loved; healing happens in the mind. But how does this work?
When friends suffer from physical ailments, we can help them find comfort in the presence of the Holy Spirit. When they are at peace, they will be healed in the best sense of the word. Ailing bodies don’t keep us sick. Our attitudes and perspectives do. Each moment is our opportunity for healing, ourselves or someone else. It’s all in the mind. In an instant it can change.”
“I can help a friend heal today by helping him think a bit differently.
How we think is everything.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “”I am at liberty to notice God’s presence wherever I look. If God is in my mind, then God can be seen in what I choose to notice or think about. And if God is a part of all living things, then everywhere I look, God looks back at me.”
Wayne Dyer, Your Sacred Self: “Imagine you are running through the gaps between the people. The gaps represent the space between your thoughts that symbolize the Tao. The quiet inner empty space, surrounded by form.”
Paul Ferrini, Enlightenment for Everyone: “Your choice remains the same: hide the light or let it shine through. It’s the same choice over and over again, moment by moment, breath by breath. Sorry folks. That’s it. That’s why it all comes down to practice.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“From the power within still, silent prayer,
I receive clarity and renewal.”
“In this hushed, peaceable, silent moment of prayer, I allow my senses to retreat. In this stillness, I make room for divine direction. I take strength from this time to contemplate. I breathe and allow my mind to empty of inner chatter.”
“At ease, I let my comfort with this inner quiet grow. I relax and release any repetitive, unnecessary thoughts. In this solitude, I am more aware of God’s presence.”
“In prayer, I am guided gently and positively to meaningful thought and action. Silent solitude is a means to receive more revelation. With God’s guidance, a clarity of mind emerges, and I am renewed.”
“I look forward, with anticipation and faith, to the good that emerges. Refreshed and inspired, I prepare to give and receive.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 96
“Salvation comes from my one Self.”
Salvation comes from God. The Atonement comes from God. The undoing of separation comes from God. We have all we need within us from God to change our minds, to change our thoughts about who we think we are. Allow the miracle to take place within your mind and be exposed to your truth. Once seen, you will not choose again.
