Seeds for the Garden of Your Mind

April 13

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“If we are afraid,
we have dropped the hand of Jesus.”

“Virtually every day we have a moment or two of confusion, or worse. Perhaps a friend or colleague suddenly erupts in anger and scares us. Will we be blamed for someone else’s unhappiness? The burden of keeping everybody happy weighs heavily on us. It need not be like this, however.

With perseverance, we can learn to recognize when we are ill at ease. In those moments of dread we can take the hand of Jesus and move forward. All we must do, in essence, is remember that we are not alone; we have to do nothing alone. The quiet help of the ever-present Inner Voice can ease our minds and direct our decisions.

Not having to be afraid, ever again, seems almost too good to be true, doesn’t it? But that’s the promise the Course makes to us. All we have to do is our part. We begin by opening our hands and minds.”

“I do want to be at peace today.
If I’m not, I’ll remember why and remedy it!”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Potential is concept that can bind us to personal powerlessness. Focus on human potential remains impotent without a focus on human capacity.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “I will remember the One who holds my hand in love. There is One who is always with us, and so as we wake in the morning, we never need to start our day alone. We always have the option of beginning by first feeling God’s comfort and blessing, which was with us throughout the night and will be with us throughout this day, this life, and forever.”

Wayne Dyer, Manifest Your Destiny: “When you express anger, hatred, envy and violence, you have allied yourself with the ego, and have prevented yourself from truly being a co-creator of your life with the divine source of energy that we call God.”

Paul Ferrini, Enlightenment for Everyone: “If you are willing to feel the anger or the sadness, you can get in touch with what lies behind them…Taking time to accept and explore your anger, hurt, sadness, peace, and your joy helps you connect more deeply with life.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“An inner harmony plays through me,
bringing a peaceful tone to all my interactions.

“Listening to and watching a master violinist, I appreciate the precise movement of the bow on the strings with just the right touch that produces beautiful music. It is a harmony of the mind, body, and spirit of the musician that creates sound, rhythm, and tone that stir my soul. As I listen, I feel in harmony with the musician and with life.”

“I may not be a master violinist, but I am a master in creating harmony in my family, workplace, and neighborhood. My mind, body, and spirit create a harmony that soothes me and those around me in everyday matters and in crisis.”

“Like my music, there is an inner harmony that plays through me to bring a peaceful tone to all my interactions with others.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 103

“God, being Love, is also happiness.”

They are several responses to this statement: God is happiness; Love is happiness; God is Love is happiness; and I AM happiness. Can you describe Love? Nope! Can you describe God? Nope! Can you even describe You, the You in Truth? Nope! Notice how impossible it is to describe any part of Truth. Being with God, knowing the presence of God is happiness.
