“A miracle is merely a shift, a change, in perception.”
“How hard can it be to “change our minds”? Our personal histories would suggest that we have changed our minds many times. We’ve moved, changed jobs, changed marriages and relationships, left friends behind. But the Course says we’re ready for a new understanding of what “change” means.
Life change we generally the result of an active ego. Some of the changes may have been positive. However, if the ego inspired them, they weren’t miracles. They were still attempts to control our lives or the lives of others. Real miracles come from changing our minds, not other people or situations. We are learning the difference now.
The shift in perception we are learning about engages only our hearts, never the ego. We need merely to ask for the shift and it will come; our request is granted. The Holy Spirit wants us to be peaceful, to have the miracle. Let us ask for it.”
“I can have one or more miracles today.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “Mystical power stems from two basic ideas: One, do not mentally resist the darkness. Two, know that the light is coming; do not allow faithfulness to slow the process down.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “No matter how often or how long ago I made the mistake, it’s never too late to correct it. Even a tentative step toward light is better than remaining in darkness. Mistakes, including persistent ones, don’t define me unless I just want to believe they do. Although many of my patterns have been long term and perverse, no one can succeed in recreating their spiritual self. Making the same mistake does not justify feeling hopeless. Nothing prevents me from changing course. What small step can be taken now? This day – in fact, even this life – is not lost as long as there is still a moment left to begin again.”

A change in an important relationship can offer an opportunity to connect with people in fresh, fulfilling ways.”
“My inner joy reaches out to others as a gentle smile, and encouraging word, a moment of laughter. I enthusiastically give expression to the joy of God that is within me and waiting to be expressed by me.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 107
“Truth will correct all errors in my mind.”
All errors in my mind are thoughts I hold which are not thoughts of love. I have but to see those thoughts for what they are, and I can change them to thoughts of love. Thoughts of love are the truth of me. They are the only thoughts I truly have, all others are pure illusion.
