Seeds for The Garden of Your Mind

April 23

Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:

“Everything that happens today is helpful.”

“Perhaps we can accept that the loss of a job which was highly stressful or the death of a parent who was gravely ill can be helpful, at least from a philosophical standpoint. But how can every occurrence be helpful? If we have an automobile accident or fight with a friend, it doesn’t feel helpful.

We are learning, slowly, that our lessons, which are contained in the circumstances of our lives, are never meant to hurt us, just educate us. We adjust to this knowledge with the help of others who seem far more peaceful than we. Probably they have already learned that there are no accidents.

Our first reaction to any unexpected encounter is often resistance and fear. That’s okay. That doesn’t men we can’t change. The more we trust that everything is helpful, the less afraid we’ll become.”

“Everything I experience today will benefit me.”

Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “No matter what the illness or addiction or distorted physical expression, its cause is in the mind, and only there can it be healed. The greatest power we’re given, says A Course in Miracles, is the power to change the mind.”

Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Connection and fear cannot be experienced together. If the ocean were pure mind and I were a wave, I would be in terror if I tried to separate myself from the substance that made me. What is a wave without water, and what is a mind without love?”

Wayne Dyer: “The well-known phrase, let go and let God, is a very useful notion. In your precious moments of being alone and undisturbed, say to yourself, “I am letting go and letting God.” What happens is that you let go of your sense of taking personal responsibility for everything and everyone around you, and in a calm way you turn all that over to God.”

Paul Ferrini: “As we become aware of our desire and fear and learn to hold them compassionately, we sink down to a place in our hearts of perfect peace. There, we know that we are safe regardless of how many fear come up. We know we are worthy, even though we have wants or needs that aren’t being met. There, we can accept our lives just the way they are. We don’t need to change or fix anything about ourselves or others.”

Unity’s Daily Word:

“God and I are one.”

“In this moment, I have the unspoken yet undeniable understanding that the holy presence is within me and surrounding me. God and I are one.”

“Centered in this moment, I focus on God’s presence here and now. I release any concerns over the past or about the future.”

“I move forward with my life, knowing that an abundance of good awaits me in whatever is unfolding. My positive expectations set a positive tone for all that I experience.”

“I am blessed with an abundance of good. Healing energy flows throughout my body and mind. With my thoughts attuned to divine harmony, right decisions rise to my awareness for perfect action.”

“In this moment and for all eternity, God and I are one.”

A Course in Miracles: Lesson 113

Review Lessons 95 & 96
“I am one Self, united with my Creator.”
“Salvation comes from my one Self.”

Continuing on with the thought and theme of the lessons, I AM as God created me states that I AM One with God, that I AM truly united with God and never have left God. And within that thought does my salvation rest. I have not left my Source, nor has my Source left me
