When we are soul-searching, be it for the smaller or larger decisions we face during the day, we can learn to ask, is this good for me?.... Is this what I really want?.... Is this what I need?... Does this direction feel right for me?.... Or am I succumbing to the control and influence that I sometimes allow others to have over me? It is not unhealthy selfishness to question if something is good for us. That is an old way of thinking. To ask if something is good for us. We shall not stray from God's intended plan. God's highest good, by asking if a thing is good for us. By asking ourselves this simple question, we participate in directing our life toward the highest good and purpose; we own our power to hold ourselves in self-esteem. Today, I will begin acting in my best interests. I will do this with the understanding that, on occasion, my choice will not please everyone around me. I will do this with the understanding that asking if a thing is good for me will ultimately help me take true responsibility for my life and my choices. Melody Beattie ©
Every relationship hits bumps in the road, sometimes, head-on collisions. The choice that families make at the onset of the difficulty determines their future. When we follow the well-trodden path of human nature-pulling back, protecting or lashing out-damage often doesn't get repaired. When we follow the lesser-used spiritual path of forgiveness and trust, we are led to greater love. Take the road less traveled. Mary Manin Morrissey

This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they're a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond. Rumi
Be patient with yourself, be gentle, be kind, and most of all, be loving and accepting of wherever you are on the journey of life. There is always another day to keep growing, to keep "becoming" who you really are... You are the seed of a truly Divine Being... Just keep going, keep growing, keep giving yourself more of what you need to grow... patience, acceptance, and unconditional love. Marie T. Russell
Sometimes in life it appears that we are at the end of our trail, when we are really at the beginning. If you take your direction from social signs, you will just follow the herd and be programmed by other people who think for you, and are guided primarily by fear. But if you follow your joy-inspired inner voice of guidance, you will be led to experiences that far surpass any the sign-makers post. Alan Cohen
"Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. They reflect a shift in how we think, releasing the power of the mind to the processes of healing and correction. What changes, primarily, is how we hold an experience in our minds - how we experience the experience." Marianne Williamson
“When guilt rears its ugly head confront it, discuss it and let it go. The past is over. Forgive yourself and move on.” Bernie S. Siegel
“To attain knowledge, add things every day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day.” Lao Tzu
