Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“The mind is the body’s physician.”
“It’s difficult to grasp that the diseased body is actually a reflection of the ego. We resist many Course ideas initially. Fortunately, it’s not necessary to accept them all simultaneously. We can “try on” Course perspectives and observe the difference in how we feel before making the decision to “change our minds.”
What we realize before long is that living according to these principles can bring us happiness. We are no longer compelled to focus on the past or other people or what may happen next in our lives. We begin to trust that whatever comes to us is simply an avenue of learning, an opportunity to feel love, forgiveness and peace. And we understand that a health challenge controls us when we think we are only body rather than Spirit.
A fear filled mind creates a fearful world of experiences. A Holy Mind, one that’s listening to the Holy Spirit, knows only peace and joy and love. No adversity blocks the path of the Sprit-filled mind. No condition is anything more than a teaching tool.”
“I will focus on healing, forgiveness, and love.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “The more we turn to God and ask Him to use us for His purposes, the more the mind expands and illumines. The spiritual commitment is to make every situation an object of devotional connection.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Disagreements cannot diminish love. To the ego part of us, love is agreement. ‘If you really loved me, you would agree with my beliefs, prefer what I prefer, and support my decisions.’ But true love is seeing each other clearly and accepting each other as we are. Real love recognizes that there are always disagreements between personalities, and it finds them interesting rather than jolting.”
Caroline Myss: “For some people, a soul calling reveals itself in an instant. But most of us have to contemplate the guidance we receive in order to understand and respond to it. To help us read God’s symbols and mysteries, we turn to the spiritual masters – the mystics.”
Eckhart Tolle: “When you yield internally, when you surrender, a new dimension of consciousness opens up. If action is possible or necessary, your action will be in alignment with the whole and supported by creative intelligence, the unconditional consciousness which in a state of inner openness you become one with. Circumstances and people then become helpful, cooperative. Coincidences happen. If no action is possible, you rest in the peace and inner stillness that come with surrender. You rest in God.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“In tine with God’s love,
I enjoy life and experience harmonious relationships.”
“Listening to beautiful music, I appreciate the blending of talents and synchronicity of notes contributed by everyone performing in the band or orchestra.”
“As I listen, I also sense cooperation and a concentrated focus of individuals that enrich the experience of the whole group. This reminds me of the importance of harmony in every aspect of my life and my relationships.”
“I understand that as the love of God guides me and the people I live and work with, we, too, created beautiful music. This is a melody of love and caring that plays throughout our relationships and our lives.”
“Using the filter of God’s love, we view circumstances in a harmonious light. We release judgments that hinder our joy and happiness. In tune with the love of God, we enjoy life and experience harmonious relationships.”
A Course in Miracles: Lesson 144
Review Lessons 127 & 128
“There is no love but God’s.”
“The world I see holds nothing that I want.”
There is nothing else that exists except God – and God is Love. I have believed in many things in this dream, but none of them has been real – all illusions. That which I AM – the Love of God – is real – and it is reality. My world I make holds nothing that compares to Love. My world holds nothing that I want. I have already all that there is – Love.
