Karen Casey, Daily Meditations for Practicing the Course:
“There is nothing to be afraid of.”
“It’s not easy to internalize the principle that there is nothing to be afraid of. We likely grew up in families where we observed fear firsthand. Now our companions are frequently afraid. So are our children and other loved ones. Fear seems to be a universal emotion. The great news is that it doesn’t have to plague us. The remedy is simple. If we’re afraid, we’ve forgotten the presence of the Holy Spirit who is here to protect us and make us peaceful. All we have to do is recall It to memory.
How can we discard fear? Let’s practice with small, relatively insignificant experiences. They will be affected by and changed in exactly the same way more serious experience will be. The routine is this: When a feeling of dread erupts, immediately image the Holy Spirit. Remember that Its assignment from God is to comfort us and bring us peace. Learning, as we will, that we can count on It every time teaches us that we can be free of fear. Forever.”
“Today can be as peaceful as I want it to be.
Even in the face of disaster, the Holy Spirit will give me peace.”
Marianne Williamson, A Year of Daily Wisdom: “We receive God’s peace when we ask Him for it. We keep His peace by extending it to others.”
Hugh Prather, Morning Notes: “Whenever I stumble, let my response be to wait in stillness on my God. Let me make gentleness and mental quietness my standard, my protection, and my goal. Let me not chew on the ego’s meatless bones: what someone meant by something they said. How hopelessly incompetent I am. How unfair life is. How misunderstood I am by my family. How impossible spiritual attainment is. Let me instead practice the Answer, which is stillness of mind, connection with others, and trust in God.”
Caroline Myss: “Investing time and energy in learning about higher consciousness teachings and practices, and then deciding that you would prefer not to be quite that conscious, will lead you into spiritual chaos. Your fear of God will feed itself with superstitions about a divinity who punishes, who takes away your wealth and makes you ill. Yet, paradoxically, you have no option but to pray to that God to help you maintain your wealth and your health – and your faith.”
Eckhart Tolle: “Being right places you in a position of imagined moral superiority in relation to the person or situation that is being judged and found wanting. It is that sense of superiority the ego craves and through which it enhances itself.”
Unity’s Daily Word:
“In God’s presence, I am safe and secure,
enfolded in love, and completely at peace.”
“As I look forward the day ahead, I take a moment to reflect on my travel plans. Whether they include a routine trip around town or a special adventure to a far-off place, I remind myself that at all times I am enfolded in the love of God. With this understanding, I begin my day with confidence.”
“At ease in the presence of pure love, I enjoy the experience of the journey itself. With the spirit of God accompanying me along the way – whether I am flying, driving, walking, or riding – I am free from worry and concern.”
“I trust that through God’s spirit within, I have all the good judgment, strength, and energy that is needed. God is my companion as I travel near and far, and I am grateful for safe journeys.”

“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
